Neither of them got it wrong. The head snap and the motion into the neutral zone occurred at virtually the same time. Milliseconds difference, if any. There was nothing the RC could add to the discussion, so they went with the call on the field.

Tenths of seconds.  But when it comes to confusing/simultaneous OS/IP usually command will go down to the frame level and call it right.  In fact, I would say they almost always get it right when they take this amount of time to look at it.  It's one of the things the do well and never stopped the "we can use slowmo/freeze" standard.

This was the rare odd wrong call.  Either they didn't see the head jerk move, or for some reason they are saying a head move is legal?

Andrew Harris liked to grab the facemask as well and give it a twist as part of his stiff arm, it was the only time he could get some payback.

Ya, but AH *never* took a guy to the ground OOB head first slamming on the facemask like this.  You need to rewatch in slow-mo, it's extremely nasty and dangerous.  DC's was even worse, but this one was pretty bad.

Guys can get crippled because of this.

AH was smart enough to do it either around an obfuscating mob, or very subtly (and leeward of the nearest ref!).

Still not the same thing.  That's a post-whistle fight where you know you'll get flagged.  And it still wasn't a dangerous full-speed run FM takedown.  You can't get crippled from what AH did.

Maybe people didn't really see what Snead just did?  You have to watch all the angles and hopefully in slow-mo.  Full speed run REC FM takedown of DB.  Only Duron has done that before.  (At least what was caught on camera.)

P.S. I always said that AH stunt could have easily been an ejection.  I think the only reason he didn't get ejected is he was the star player in one of the biggest games.
