Boys need to stop turning over the ball, and clean up the stupid penalties. D needs to get more pressure. BDs need to stop blowing coverage. Injury report should be out tomorrow when the boys return to practice. Like to see a couple of changes to the line-up.

Going to be a tough game - is Kelly back?  He will be a bit rusty for sure if he is.

Troubling part is after the game in Calgary which was a stinker is the fact we put up another stinker at home after a bye (no excuse for fatigue)...tells me the coaching may be an issue or the player focus.  Calgary is a very good team but we let them be a good team with lack of focus and execution.

Injury report is huge - we need Collaros back, Strev on a Saturday in Toronto might be tough.

Fast look at past games in TO:

2024 - lost 16-14
2023 - didn't play there
2022 - won 23-22
2021 - lost 23-30

I seem to recall the games were all kinda ugly - so likely going to be the same

All about the OL imo.  Shore that up and we got a chance.  DL 2nd issue.  Get more pressure and stop the run.  Game is won in the trenches.

dd

DL has been an issue since Jeffcoat left, and will continue to struggle until we acquire better DT, which won't be this season. With or without Collaros the losing continues

Disagree we will have a winning record with Zach behind centre.  Vaughters is a good replacement.  Yes DL needs to be better.

Blue In BC

Obviously whether Collaros and Bryant play factors heavily into this game. However, I've made my point that the Argos are not very good.

If we have to play with Streveler starting I think we have a good chance of winning. It won't be spectacular and probably low scoring, but I imagine a Bomber win.

Having a solid game plan for Strev will help immensely.  Agree Bryant is a massive factor.  Argos have some talent but agree not great.  They will be playing desperate though.

With Zach and Bryant we win by 7.  Without either it's a close game and low scoring agree.

Our D has to be much better to win this game. They really haven't looked good that last two games. The DBs had breakdowns in coverage against BC and Edmonton, but we got away with it. That unit need to be much better.

Argos have had almost no running game and they have been behind the score in most games early. Our DL does have to play better but Arbuckle is not Kelly and he probably is weeks away. He still hasn't practised as far as I know.

If the Bombers can't beat them then we have some serious soul searching to do.

We need to rush more than 3. Arbuckle not great when he's pressured.  Test him with a blitz or two.

I think Kelly does not play either game. It's possible we can get both of these. We will need them. Calgary again Aug 9.

You're right, if we're gonna win some football games these are two are the easiest ones in the next coming month. We're not gonna beat the riders at home in regina nor are we going right beat Calgaryin Calgary. Although we always seem to stink in Toronto.

Argos just lost their new RT in Dankwah to 6 game IR after losing Hunter a week earlier. Also lost Hansen to 6 game IR.

Hansen now in his 6th year, he's carved out a decent CFL career considering he generally only plays ST.

If DBs are going to jump those passes out to the flats Strev loves, why doesn't he pump fake and give it to the guy going deep?

You mean the smurfs that keep tripping on their own feet? Wheatfall probably gets over / under double coverage.
