Ridley Grieg from Ottawa.
Good feisty playmaker who is quite decent at the dot, finishing around the net, pushing the play and distributing

But, I would love to pickup Matt Savoie from the Oilers. Right hand shot, has speed, wins puck battles, 37 points this season.

Draft lottery on May 5th. I hope we can jump up a few spots.

Sol had shoulder surgery and will be out for 5-6 months. Chib had core muscle surgery. Recovery time is about 8 weeks.

That's terrible news for Sol.

He was supposed to hit the weights in the off season and come back ready for a top 4 role. Now we're going to have to ease him in. He might not (probably won't) start with the Jets anymore.

His emergence was the single bright spot in the season and this surgery just takes a big ol' dump on that.

As much as this sucks that he will be spending the summer recovering vs working on becoming better, I'd still take Soly at the level he finished this past season to start the year vs. dumpster diving for a Schenn to fill the hole.

If he misses time to start the year, plug in whoever else we already have under contract (Fleury I think or is it Miller? Can't remember).

It's super important way play these guys in the NHL even if it starts a little rougher than we'd like.

You know I agree, it just sucks for the kid.

Fleury is the guy we have under contract, But it feels like a position group we wanted to add to even with a healthy Soly. Just makes it harder to figure out the plan.
