Quite the game last night.  Why no shots on goal?  Are the Ducks D that good?

CH37 looked good, except when he didn't.  Probably going to win the "most rubber faced" award this year.

Some interesting plays from the rooks/new guys.  Salmonson is ready for the top pairing, IMHO.  He is just that good.  Rosen looks like he belongs, but needs a little more support that Toews and Nyquist.  Lambert's size puts him in with Koepke and Baron, but these are not linemates that will refine his hands.

Can we go back to

81 55 13
and then

91 19 27
14 17 9
45 36 93

Toews with some more speed around him should improve... until we get a 2C
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

I'm pretty sure they're the worst in the league, lol.

It's not possible. Mark Chipman is one of those owners who is involved with every decision. I don't think changing out the GM would result in any changes with how they do business.

If you want speed around 19, then you wouldn't have 91 on that line. 27/19/93.

Hellebuyck's faced 1173 shots so far this season, which is 9th most. Predators' netminder Saros leads the league at 1389 shots against.

Had Hellebuyck not missed a few weeks earlier this season, though, he'd likely be at the top, if not near it.

Had Hellebuyck no missed a few weeks, we'd be in the playoffs!!

Agree on that, 91 is not top 6 material, never has been. Hes'had the odd 'big game goal', but is no where near consistent enough, this year he's dropped off, only 8 goals and -4, that's not second line material

I'm not so sure about that.

The Jets began to struggle in early November and basically imploded for two months straight. Hellebuyck played until Nov. 15th, he returned on Dec. 12th, helped the Jets beat the Capitals at home, and they then went on to lose ten straight games, collecting a measly 4 loser points over that stretch.

A lack of roster depth, reliance on aged out veterans to fill gaps, poor special teams, and an unwillingness to play a consistent two-way game are what sank this team's campaign, IMO.

Yes, coming back, CH37 did not light the rink on fire.  Almost wish he'd missed another 2 weeks.  Then there's be an excuse.

Looks like his training had him peak in the Olympics, enough that he stole the Gold Medal for the US and got a Medal of Honor for his troubles.  I guess it worked out for him.

Time to go on a tear, and get the Jets into the wildcard, and stand on his head to get us the cup.

Its the least he could do for the team that is actually paying him. ;)

Comparing Winnipeg Jets Hellebuyck to Team USA Hellebuyck as though the two teams are somehow on equal terms isn't reasonable.

And it'll take more than a netminder playing at his absolute best for this team to make the playoffs, much less go on a deep run. This Jets team just doesn't have the horses.

One of the many thing the Jets should be doing during the final 20 games is sitting Helle every 4 games or so to make sure he's good to go for the off-season and next year.

That was the plan before the injury to make sure he wasn't overworked but they threw it away after he missed so much time.
