Nyquist
Toews
Pearson
Koepke

Schenn
Miller
Logan

Comrie

Is there any value in trading any of them?  Would nay want to be traded?

Toews is the leading faceoff guy in the NHL, a great playoff need.

Schenn, Miller might have some depth value.

Stanley is probably at his highest value ever.  Someone is going to offer more than us in free agency.  Can we get something for him now?

Comrie really hurt his value during the Hellebuyck injury.

He's good at face offs but is essentially a pylon out there.  Not sure what that will get you at the deadline... maybe a bag of pucks?

Tuned in at 4-1 (PVR was taping TSN's version of the Jets game featuring Pittsburg)

Thought, OMG, Matthews is playing and we're ahead?

And then it was 4-3.

And the announcers said "Looks like the next goal wins".  And Toronto tied it up...

Sigh...

This team doesn't need to win anymore. Just embrace the tank and get that high draft pick.

We should have a top 3 pick in the first round. To bad we don't have a 2nd or 4th round pick.

Just an absolutely terrible trade. That lost 2nd rounder is going to be huge and Schenn has been nothing but a detriment to the team.

When you are the Presidents trophy team, giving up a late second rounder is nothing big.

No one expected it to end up as a late first rounder instead.

But yeah, terrible outcome.

It was still a terrible trade. There was never any reason to get Schenn. It was simply making a move for the sake of making a move when they couldn't get anyone who actually moved the needle.

It just actively made our team worse and ended up sacrificing the future as well.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  One of Chevys biggest blunders

Too many moves, really questionable quite often, cannot hide the lack of talent available in the system

Another terrible result tonight. Team looked disinterested for the first and barely 1/2 of the last 2 periods.
Juggling of lines in the 3rd at least started to gel a bit

Looking back over the last 4 years, and really no players picked 33-38, are lighting it up in the NHL. But, yes Chevy has made a few questionable moves, or none moves. Maybe it's time to move on from Chevy.

Moving on from Chevy is one of those things it will take more than one funky season.  Especially coming off a President's trophy, never mind the link to ownership.

Chevy is probably the most secure last place GM ever.

I totally disagree. The presidents trophy means nothing if you get knocked out early in the playoffs. Chevy didn't do enough late last year or at the trade deadline to make this team better. We didn't have a 2nd line C last season, and he did fill that position this year. JT is great in the FO but it was apparent after 20 games, that he was no longer a top 6 forward. The FAs he signed in the off season have done nothing. This group isn't working anymore. There old and slow, time for a shake up.
