We've been running the same schemes since the Lapo days, I think we need some new twists to throw the defense off and make us less predictable. It was like Toronto knew the plays we were going to run before we ran them. I am hoping Jackson is allowed input into what he would have done in certain situations. His offensive stats from last year were miles better than ours.
Agree with you 100%. I definitely don't want to see the same predictable offense as last season and definitely don't want any Lapo schemes anywhere near our offense.

The reason Hogan got the job is because we want to stick with the same offence. Hogan is going to make his adaptation (of which Jarious will be a part, for sure), but the goal is continuity. An outsider is not coming in and putting in a new offence in any way, shape, or form.

I agree the "system" will stay much the same, and we should stick with the run-first mantra.  That buys us the continuity.

But we need "new blood" X/O's wrinkles and creativity.  That's what we didn't have for at least 2 seasons.  We need someone who specifically designs plays that work against the weakness of the opponent that week.

The question is: what's the percent mix going to be between Hogan & Jarious.  I first thought 90/10.  Now I'm thinking closer to 50/50.

I agree, however don't forget that scheme got us to the cup for 5 straight years.  Even last year, with all of its woes, we still made it there.  That's a massive success.  The cup for me is gravy.

You guys would rather not host a playoff and/or lose to team X at home in a (semi-)final?

That's probably why they'll take the incremental approach with the new blood rather than blow it all up like Maas does every team he moves to.  It's 99% of the way there... we just need that extra 1% to get us over the top and reclaim the cup.

I agree with the "old" Lapo schemes.  However, I wouldn't be against Lapo being our OC and bringing NEW Lapo schemes!  But for now Lapo is on the back burner.  We'll have to hope Hogan/Jarious can get it done, as that may be the situation for 2-3+ seasons.

Will go down as one the best defensive coaches in Bomber history and has helped create one of the best runs for a defense we have seen for decades.  Hats off to you my friend.  Much of our success is on your back.
