Maksymic.....

Lions didnt run the ball much, even though it worked when they did. Had Stanback, and decent O line.

with Rourke... just kept flinging the ball around even though it did t work.

pass, pass, pass.  (pun intended)

anyway Buck is  still our coach.

Agreed. Stanback is a beast and not giving him the rock to make the defense respect the run was a mistake on their part. Plus Rourke sucked big time, yet they kept trying the same stuff over and over again like it was magically going to start to work (sounds familiar in our Grey Cup game!!!)

Bc had a good team.  The GM couldn't make, correct personnel,decions..  put in Rourke and he destroyed the chemistry.

Not really a surprise. Options to move to another team with a chance to start in 2025 were slim. After Harris re-signed, that took that option away as well.

A 3 year deal suggests he's the long term plan but might not be guaranteed to start in 2025. I'm not sure what MBT will think of this development and whether he extends for another season. It may depend on how much he got in 2024 and what he wants in 2025? He may consider the USFL for the off season to earn some extra money or perhaps he retires.

Edmonton has declared who their starter will be for 3 years. Who cares what MBT thinks, he wasn't getting it done. Maier will be looking for a job and could sign as their #2 if MBT packs it in

TORONTO — Under the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the CFL Players' Association's joint drug policy, BC Lions defensive lineman Sione Teuhema has been suspended for two games after testing positive for the banned substance Amfetamine.

So, in the sometimes hard world of interpreting CFL news, I noticed on CFL Transactions that Adams Jr. was added to the Calgary Stampeders roster and then deleted from the Stamps roster.  Currently, the Stamps roster page does show him on the team.

No doubt there is an explanation but it is a bit confusing.

Re-negotiated his contract to a more team friendly deal.

QuoteThe club and player agreed to terms on a restructured contract for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

"The restructured contract will give us more salary-cap flexibility to sign free agents and retain our own players who will be eligible for free agency in February," Dave Dickenson, Calgary's head coach and general manager, said in a statement. "Vernon remains under contract for the next two seasons and we're excited to have him in Calgary."

LOL sure Dave, Stamps continue squeezing nickels out of every contract.  Cheap cheap cheap went the Dickie bird.

I don't think Dickie and the Stamps have much choice here. Season ticket sales are down over pervious years - year over year. I know I have always purchased 4 Super Reds Season tickets (to give to my clients most of the time) and have done so for a number of years. This coming year I probably will cut back to two season tickets. Could not even give some of the season tickets away last year. And there are no plans to replace McMahon Stadium just some minor upgrades that really do not add much value from what I an see. So things are not looking all that great here in Stampeder Land!
