Quote from: Sir Blue and Gold on November 10, 2024, 12:51:30 PMYou can score 2 TDs in three minutes in the CFL. There's 12 minutes left. They go for it and miss. Then they're down three TDs with better field position a little later and punt. Admittedly that one worked out as Lucky dropped the ball but still. Made no sense.

Wouldn't have made a difference but Corey went full Happy Meal in the fourth quarter.

I get that, but I also saw how our offence was playing.

Mace figured if you punt the ball back and we score, it's pretty much game over. So you put all your marbles in on keeping the ball and scoring.

It didn't work. But he was already in a very low percentage situation.

Great win, and always nice to stomp the Riders, but THE GOAL IS STILL THE GOAL!   ;D

Quote from: TecnoGenius on November 10, 2024, 04:06:14 AMWow, that's rough!  Don't IR people get their name on the cup, or no?  PR people certainly don't.  I think everyone gets a ring?

Is there a thing where IR people get playoff money but PR people don't?  Why not just IR Cole if we don't need him at the moment?  I think Cole is a keeper as a backup.

Now the transactions show those same players moved to 1 game IR. It must be some sort of process thing the CFL or Bomber do. At least those players will get paid and remain under contract.

The roster page is still not totally correct butt it's closer than yesterday.

As usual it's difficult to see the rotation on defence. I saw everybody getting in on the action and there weren't many errors. My impression was that Alexander didn't play much but Taylor did. However Ford was invisible as well and we know he was on the field.

So being invisible on defence is often a very good thing when the opponent won't attack your area.

I'd be curious to know what posters in the stands saw in the rotation. Only allowing 16 points when it mattered was impressive.

Quote from: J5V on November 10, 2024, 03:22:43 AMYeah, tough break for Chad Kelly and the Argos with Chad's injury. That didn't look good at all. Strange that Kelly didn't appear to be in any pain at all. Just looked confused at his predicament as he tried to straighten out his leg. You could tell something wasn't right anatomically with that shin/ankle, and I've since heard it was his tibia (shin) bone that was broken/fractured.

Toronto is going to have Arbuckle ready and they are a very good team with a great defence and we're going to have to play our best game of the season to come out of BC with the win.

I thought the same thing.... what kind pain tolerance does he have? or in shock? that was nuts.

Somethin' not right with that boy.

Yes Ford was invisible which is good.

Defense also held Riders to approximately 100 yards in the first half.

Other than opening drive the BB offence ramped up early which was good.

Players need to start quick.

Fans need to be loud often and early.

MOS needs to do the MOS vibe.

All will be fine.

Mission accomplished.

Two bones in the lower leg, he still had one good one. When the bad one went sideways though that was something to cringe at for sure. It's possible that he made it worse by standing on it too.

Didn't see what happened as I was tailgating at the time and could only see the eastern final on the screen at an angle.

Tibia is majority of weight-bearing for lower leg, so that would be painful to stand on.

We're going to need to get to work getting Ford, Holm, Griffin and Jones re-signed. Those guys are playing lights out. I think these players will be motivated to re-sign in Winnipeg.

Happy Sunday everyone!

How we feeling today?! Was that not one of the most fun games in a while?! I couldn't wipe this grin off my face if I tried.

What. A. Win!

Ford and holm especially. They virtually lock down the short side of the field and nothing gets completed over there. They contest every throw and look how many knockdowns holm has yesterday, he was the difference on defense. They didn't even bother trying fords guy. When you force the offense to work on the wide side of the field only, that makes it tough on them

Ford may want to try the NFL again if Bombers don't give him a good offer. At least a 2 year deal with guaranteed money is my assumption.

Are not Griffin and Jones on ELC's?

Holm was lights out yesterday, but I know during the season some people were questioning him.
