GO ELKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be surprised if there is a big crowd in Victoria today since the game is in Edmonton.

The Victoria game is Aug 31 when Ottawa visits and there should be 14000 in attendance.

Quote from: BBRT on August 11, 2024, 05:00:18 PMSort of lost track on this game being played in Victoria. What stadium is in Victoria and what is the seating capacity? I must admit I never knew there was a large enough venu in Victoria for a CFL game.

I may have been incorrect. I could have sworn this was the game in Victoria.

Quote from: Blue In BC on August 11, 2024, 04:56:07 PMAny idea what the capacity is for today?

" In a press release, the Lions said that they're "exploring potential capacity increases" to allow for more fans to attend the game. The original plan called for Royal Athletic Park's capacity to be expanded to hold 14,000 fans."

" The B.C. Lions have released fresh party zone tickets for this year's Touchdown Pacific game in Victoria, B.C. after the inital wave of 14,000 sold out in under an hour last week."

Not sure of "party zone" capacity.

So august 31.

Yesterday, BC Lions & BC Ferries announced that the last ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen on August 31 will depart at 10pm instead of 9pm. It gives those in attendance from the Lower Mainland an extra hour to play with.

I am putting my trust in Harbour Air to get me there and back.

Unless the lions have adjusted their offence to include some semblance of running game this one could be stolen by the Elks.

Could happen under Dolegala, they'll have to use whatever works.

If not having VA for a few games forces them to create / sustain a running game it could be a blessing in disguise. They aren't going to win in the playoffs outside with just VA slinging it.

Stanback is decent RB - they just need to use him consistently

big question is if the OL can consistently make the holes for a RB?

Bigger question is whether the OC decides to use the running game. Lions have been a passing team for a few years and tend to ignore the run game.

Well. I have seen dolegala play QB and unless he has improved drastically - they need a running game.

Usually the Hoggies like run blocking so if they add that into their playbook I think they can do it.

Recall if ye must how Dolegala beat the Bombers in last year's LDC.

I wouldn't consider it stealing. I consider the Elks favourites with VAJ out.
