Lions look healthy...if we can pull out a gritty win vs them it would be huge.

3rdand1.5

I just don't see us even being close in this one, short week, too many questions along the o-line, no answers at receiver....All a defence has to do when they play us is blitz and we have had nothing to counter this all year....

Zach took an absolute butt whooping last week, I just hope he makes it out of this game with all his parts still attached...I unfortunately don't see him surviving much longer taking the abuse he is, the book is out, blitz the middle, collapse the pocket, Zach can't escape, and the interior o-line has shown they can NOT keep a clean pocket at all...

I will be surprised if Zach makes it our healthy on a short week after the pounding he took last week, I see another 5/6 sack against game coming and another terrible offensive output....

Get Bailey signed and in the lineup along with Whitehead...and start using Streveler more.

A smash mouth ball control offensive game plan with a few deep throws to keep the D honest.

Get the ball into the playmaker hands quickly and block like your life depends on it!

I'm thinking the Lions see an opportunity to prey on a wounded animal.
Nothing is more dangerous than a wounded animal. It would be easy for BC to look past us thinking they're well rested and we're going to be easy pickings. I'm more concerned with us beating ourselves or the refs doing it if we don't. We could easily be 4-4 right now and trending in the right direction if not for the officials and the fumbles.
Go Bombers!

We don't have the horses to play run and gun vs BC. We need to pound the rock, take time off the clock/limit their opportunities to score points, and get a couple of turnovers.

Our O line is horrible in Pass Pro, so run the ball

We turn the ball over and it kills whatever momentum we build up dead in its tracks.

Quote from: TBURGESS on July 29, 2024, 02:33:10 PMCGY didn't figure out how to beat BC. BC missed 5 deep balls. Complete just one of them and they win the game.

Why did VAJ miss those deep balls?  Because he was harassed and throwing off his back foot all night.  CGY 100% cracked the BC code.  And we've done it before, too.

In fact, it's been well-known for years: fluster VAJ and bad VAJ appears.  The trick is: how to get to VAJ to fluster him...

P.S. Hollins has had a bad few games.  Worry about McInnis if you're going to worry about anyone.  Take away McInnis, and if Hollins keeps up his suck-streak, they have nothing (though don't leave that new guy wide open!).
Never go full Rider!

VAJ missed them because he had a bad night and the gusty wind didn't help.

If Lucky were to be moved from PR to AR what is the cutoff date for the game this week?

They can announce it alongside the depth chart release on Wednesday. I am not sure if it can be later than that, if that's what you're asking.

Yah that is what I was getting at, not sure if they had to do the move a day before but it makes sense they can do the move when the roster is set.

Hatcher, Hollins and McInnis, egad, those are 3 deadly recievers. Our secondary is going to be taxed to the max given the poor pressure our DL gets. This could get ugly

There's virtually no excuse not to dress Lucky for this game if Woli is unable to play.  All the excuses they've used to start multiple rookies over him have been extremely weak.

I know everyone is down on our team right now, but BC is not this huge juggernaut of a team that is incapable of losing. They lost last week to Calgary. They only won by 2 points against us and against Edmonton. This is no different than any other week. And even though we've been on the losing side of most games, we've yet to suffer a beat down. We just can't get all three phases moving at the same time.
