Aren't we more than due for a miracle?

I saw a holding penalty against the Argos yesterday. I thought that was it.
Go Bombers!

Haha!  Ya.  After 10 egregious holds the refs finally flag one!  It was a miracle.

CGY braintrust found the combination to crack the BC O safe.  Just like we did in '23 WDF.

BC is very beatable because they still haven't expanded their playbook and they are inflexible in-game.  They still have almost no run game.  VAJ still insists on chucking it deep all the time, even if pressure is getting through.  VAJ getting beaten up and it slows his scramble down.  Without that, he has nothing.

My concern is in the last BC game, oddly, BC went to a short/midshort game a ton and we had no answer.  Clearly you plan around BC just chucking it deep, but you need to adjust if they start dinking.

Our D being great against the run lately should keep Stanback in check better than last time.  And the pressure packages we finally revealed vs TOR should server us well because VAJ is basically a glorified Dukes who can actually throw downfield.

Yes, the key to beating BC is out-braining their O.  Period.  Either that or put up 45.  I think the former is the safer bet at this juncture.

Uh... wha?  Our team needs infinitely more practice sessions, not less, let alone one!!

So many rookies and noobs, there's no way they can magically gel without on-field time together!  Is one-practice a CFL-mandated thing or is this a special WFC "rather go for slurpees" thing?

Who has a better defence - Toronto or BC?

I haven't looked at the stats but my gut says Toronto does...better offense is clearly BC.  I do think our defence played well but it was against a pretty weak argos offence.

I expect VA will complete some bombs against us and our offence will do more this game but ultimately usually the better team wins and that is BC.

TBURGESS

CGY didn't figure out how to beat BC. BC missed 5 deep balls. Complete just one of them and they win the game.

No practice today, closed practice tomorrow, walkthrough on Wednesday. Very short week.

It's a short week, no choice this time.

We've taken this approach in short weeks since at least 2019.

Short week going into their first bye week and knowing heads will roll over that time.  Sounds like a trap game to me for BC, but the problem is the Bombers are the free space on the Bingo card right now.  Give the points and take the Lions on the road.

A high octane offensive team coming off a bye week vs an injury riddled offensively starved team coming off an agonizing loss on a short week.

I'm thinking the Lions see an opportunity to prey on a wounded animal.
