The time to move on has come if that's the case. Sad but football reality.

I think they'll play out the rest of the season as is out of respect, he may be able to contribute in key games when healthy but that's hard to count on.  No excuse for not bringing in more DE's to better prepare for the eventual transition though.

I'm all for considering cutting Jeffcoat after the season.  However, we have to keep in mind the impact he has when in games.  In the 2022 post-season he was monster.  Disruption galore, FF, etc.  Those are game-changing plays.

If he's 6GIR then that opens up some $$ for an interesting acquisitions, if we want one.  What does it cost us to keep him 6-gamed all season until near the end and the post-season?  If it's just money, but doesn't count to the SMS, and doesn't take away from a roster spot, then why not keep him around?  That's what TOR did with AH33.  Why not have a roster of superstars that can only play a couple of games a season due to fragility?

Jeffcoat would be a perfect candidate for the FakeNatl. designation if they could bring in a good enough Natl. for him to job-share with.  If healthy and semi-affordable Boateng would be a good candidate.

Jeffcoat is out but was he moved to 1 game or 6 game IR? When was the last time he finished a complete game? Patience is wearing very thin.

Ya, it puts us in a bit of a bind in the summer months, but who cares?  I could care less if he misses time now.

As long as he's healthy in the Fall when the real games start.  Then we need him.   Same goes for Wilson.

Cut Jeffcoat?.. need a round of chill pills stat!!

Who cares if he plays in June , nobody?s ever won the grey cup in June. We need to relax a bit. Our team looked freakishly good last game without Jeffcoat or Lawler, and it could be argued we don?t ?need?  either but darn it, we got both of them!! This team could be sick good once we get them all onthefield

I care when we?re in the Grey Cup and he spends the second half in the locker room.
My wife is amazing!

The good thing is Haba (and Fox) is getting the LIVE reps and become more familiar with what this D is doing.

Come on.  Jeffcoat can?t last a half.  Injuries end careers.  It happens.  Great player when healthy.  But alas?.

I see Miller was also moved from the 1 game IR to the 6 game IR. I was concerned about his age before TC and the fact he never seemed to practice in 2022.

Our 6 game IR is quite large at the moment. Add in the suspension for Lawler and that's a lot of players we expected to be on the AR.

It's Jeffcoat's last year and last year for this team as we've come to know it. They are all in now, next year is next year. What ever games he can play make us better.

Any update on Lawson injury? Is he actually injured or has Schmekel beaten him out of the back up role?

Lawson is really hurt. I was at the TC session when he came off in discomfort. He has been on the sidelines since. He moves ok and has no cast or bandage of any kind. Likely hoping time and rest will heal it.

Let Jeffcoat ride the 6-game. $$$ is not going against the cap anyways. Heck, we waited for Kongbo to heal when we drafted him.

7 players on the 6 game IR. No idea if or when some of these players could return. Many would be on the AR if healthy so it gives a chance for newbies to take a foot hold on the AR. It's possible some many be done for the season since we don't get any real useful info on injury status.

We better be adding a few new players to look at on the PR after losing 2 more players to the 6 game IR this week.

Anything new about the status for Lawler? This will be game 2 missed and it would seem he'd certainly miss the next game as well. Hopefully he can return for game 4? If it goes beyond that it may be a date just out in the twilight zone somewhere.

Looking to see if Agudosi lights it up a little more this week. I'm not sure what happened last week but he didn't seem to be playing much after the 1st Q? I heard he may have been nicked so we'll see if he's recovered and used more this week. If not we may see McCrae or Jones next week if a healthier body is needed.

Also curious to see if Jackson is used on defence at all. Back up LS, FB and ST is important but we need a DI that contributes something on defence.

Hopefully we get through this game without any additional injuries. OL is the only real position we have very good depth.
