And yet everyone says what a great OC Lapo is. He?s not. He?s conservative and boring

He plays down to the perceived capability of his players.  The problem is a) sometimes his perception is off, and b) sometimes you need to show confidence in your O to build confidence (chicken and the egg problem).  His slow confidence-building with Nichols and our O might have held us back a bit longer than we might have needed.  But he got the job done in the end and had clearly opened the book wide by the time Nichols was Lemonated.

If Lapo was our OC tomorrow, I think he would be very aggressive.  It would look very similar to the Buck O.
