Stamps Vs. Lions GDT

First time I have do a GDT - so here goes! I am thinking a Calgary win works best for us given our remaining schedule. What do others think?

I like Calgary in this one. No way they lose back to back games against these guys plus a Calgary win gets the Blue Bombers ever closer to the Western title.

There was also no way the Stamps lose three out of three to the Bombers, and yet...

Although it would be better for the Bombers if Calgary wins tonight, I just can't bring myself to cheer for them, and in 2022 no one will go broke underestimating the Calgary Stampeders.

Gotta cheer for CGY.  I think they win anyhow.  I watched the BC game last week and there were a ton of fake calls going BC's way.  That literally was the difference between winning and losing.

VAJ looks ok, but is hot/cold.  Last week hot.  This week cold.  He also started his mental fits again last week.  He can be beaten mentally.

If BC loses this, it becomes very hard for them to beat us for #1 in W.  Our focus has to be on that WDF so we can heal up and only face 1 team.  We aren't young and hungry enough to take the '19 road to the GC again.  Also, we must force BC to come to a cold WPG for a WDF -- those west coasties can't handle the cold.  Hopefully it'll be -15C with a 20km wind.

It?s about how my fantasy guys perform.  I have Adams as my QB this week, and I picked him partly because I want to see him do well.  I agree that the league needs a couple of guys to rise up.

2 considerations:

I loaded up on CGY!  So we'll have a battle.  I'd love VAJ to do well too, but not until WPG clinches 1st.  Also, not well enough to win the WDF.  Everything will literally depend on VAJ tonight.  He has the best receivers, can he calm his hormones and not swing helmets at people enough to win?

Look what happened when we signed Collaros....what is he 29-3 as a Bomber!   He's leading the league as the front runner for the MOP.   Had Rourke not been injured he was on pace to break all kinds of records.....yeah an MOP QB will make a world of difference on any team....especially if they have a good O-Line to keep them upright.

Dennis is huge (see what I did there?).  This is horrible news for CGY at this point in the season.  Looks like a break.  Doubtful for playoffs now.

Sucks for CGY, but this helps us for our upcoming CGY game.  Any marginal remaining CGY game might now flip.  Yes, he's that important.

Awesome trolling by Lucky.  As I said before, Lucky is the perfect fit for the left coast crowd.  Flamboyant and full of goofy character.  I hope they keep paying him and he stays there.  I'm happy he found a place to belong.  He was just going to ride the pine here in WPG as long as Grant was healthy.

That's the difference between a dual-purpose guy and a dedicated punter.  But at the end of the day, look at the net, not the gross.  It was similar with Meddie, not the biggest leg but superb placement.

Had to be done.  Literally the only option for BC.  They did (and will) win games with VAJ and that great receiving corps.  I'd guess they win 50% now vs 90% with Rourke.  50% is good enough to win #2 and make a decent playoff run.

Well, that didn't work out very well for me tonight.  Burnham was also underwhelming.

wrist fractures will takes weeks. He will be in the 6 game IR I expect. Burnham is becoming an injury prone individual in his older years.

Kinda doubt it, BC is fighting for playoff position and Adams is their best bet.  I wouldn't read too much into his last performance, the Stamps have a ferocious pass rush, maybe the best in the league right now.  It's too bad but we might not get to see O'Connor again until next season and that also depends what happens with Rourke.  What they decide to do with their 4 QB's in the off-season will be interesting, if Rourke comes back I can see them trading away V.A..

BC season rides on VAJ's shoulders. He did pretty good in the first game, and pretty poor in his second game. A great athlete but can't seem to round into a great QB, yet.
Losing Burnham hurts, but c'mon look at that receiving core they are extremely deep in talent.

Give Cal. credit they got to VAJ, can Ott match that...yikes I doubt it. Bc's defence is good, but their record was due to how good the offence was, as soon as an injury to Rourke hit, they fell off the rails, VAJ was the best fit for them and they made a great move bringing him in, but he is not Rourke. It's not fair to expect any QB to do what Rourke was doing pre-injury.

Overall BC is still a top team in the league with VAJ at the helm, but if a defence can get to him and throw him off his game like Cal. did I don't believe the defence and specials are good enough to carry them. BC if memory serves me correct have Edm. and Ott. coming up. They should finish with no less than 11 wins.

The last three weeks just may have some big implications for BC and two of those are against us!

Uh, who else do they start?  O'Connor?  There's no other tradebait QBs left in the league who have proven they can win games.  Sure, BC is going nowhere, but at least they're going nowhere at a slower pace than without VAJ.  They go from winning 95% of games with Rourke to 50% with VAJ.  Any other QB would likely be 5%.

We should all hope VAJ has a great good-VAJ WSF vs CGY and then a bad-VAJ WDF vs us.

I d be putting pipkin in when VA struggles vs watch him flounder aimlessly. Pipkin came in and promptly moved the ball last game, albeit in garbage time, but heck Adams wasn?t moving the ball in garbage time, and  pipkin puts a TD on the board.

Pipkin is one of the 3rd down specialists that might develop into more in the right environment.  In the game against Sask. when he came in for O'Connor he looked shaky to start, but once he got past the nerves he started to move the ball effectively.  He seems to have a decent arm and of course he runs very well, as always with running QB's it comes down to whether they can learn to read the field or not.

Adams just seemed to struggle so much this game, having pipkin come in to spell him off and give a change of pace for the offense, potentially spark it, bit also give Adams some time to get his witts about him. It couldn?t hurt and as we saw, points were put on the board by pipkin so it did yield a positive change for the lions. They have to do something vs watch him drown

All Adams is missing is some prozac(do they still make that stuff?)  He does so much right, but then after he bats the pass rush he becomes a dolt.

They should either say:

1.) When you escape the pass rush, just run.
2.) or stop at the L.O.S. and throw a pass.

He seems to be unable to make a decision at that crucial moment.
