I had a girlfriend that was on the dance team years ago. Does that count?? That's pretty cool! I wish I had one of those back when I was younger... (and, now, single-r). I'll tell you guys a trick if you want to get noticed by and some pics with the cheerleaders with ease: take your cute 2-6 year old. The cheerleaders come running to get in the pics if you have a cute kid along. When my 6y.o. gets too old to have that effect I plan on taking my new toddler to games... at least 4-5 more years of fun with that trick! Works on the mascots too, but that hardly has the same effect on dad

I have a couple stories although not related to anyone. When I was a youngster my buddy said come help me shag golf balls at Riverview CC. We were paid to gather up golf balls for Don Jonas. When I worked at the MLCC Buddy Tinsley was a liquor rep in the 80's for awhile. A true gentleman. Norm Beaudin was also a rep for awhile. The plays now sell cars LOL
Buddy Tinsley's daughter was one of my grade 8 teachers.

My great uncle was Ian Gibb, who played flying wing and defensive halfback for the Bombers 1949-52.
214 yds receiving, one TD, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 INT. He was only 170 lbs.
My Grandfather Keith Pearce won the grey cup. I have a photo of him with some team mates at the grey cup winner's dinner in 1950 I believe. Ian Gibb is in the photos.

Although dating myself, I remember/watched Keith Pierce play for the Bombers....especially in 1958 when the Bombers beat the Ti-Cats after, in the Grey Cup, coming from behind a 14 - 0 deficit. Pierce played with some pretty stellar members of the Bombers including Kenny Ploen, Jim Van Pelt, Cornell Piper, Leo Lewis, Frank Rigney, Dave Burkholder, Gerry James and on and on...all great players. Of course Bud Grant was the head coach. Good memories.

That's pretty cool! What was his position and number? I'm watching the "Grey Cup on Demand" videos CFL put up and I'll look for him while watching the 50's ones. If you haven't checked it out, check it out, you can probably see him play!!

Well that's pretty cool. If you were to scan that pic and post here, I would totally download it for the family tree.
