One theory is that a couple teams might not spend to the cap. If so, I could see why you wouldn't want that information out there. It would be discouraging as a fan to be sort of punching above your weight class every year.

I guess, but that might be offset that by the extra attention the league would get from fan discussion if we had more solid info to go on where the money was being spent.

Taken right from the website itself: All information posted is unofficial, not sanctioned by the CFL and is intended for entertainment purposes only.

Seems kinda dumb to just speculate on the SMS and make a website for it.

And based on the fact in the Media that Walter's has said they don't have to cut or release anyone to maintain their cap, but that they have used up most of their SMS space..to go back now and cut/release someone to make ends meet would make him look like an utter fool and lose credibility...sheesh

NHL teams all don't spend to the cap. Neither do NFL teams. And yet, players' salaries are openly shared and made public to media and fans.

I'm not sure why the CFL feels like it's some kind of exception in that regard.

It's a bit of a mystery for sure.

It's a pretty glaring lack of transparency, IMO.

Its what makes the league feel "minor" or "bush". I think its brainless on the league not to post. And if the bombers are a public run team. Shoudlnt ALL employee salaries be disclosed. Same as the riders??
