Edmonton - $6,903,000.00
BC - $6,192,000.00
Ottawa - $6,035.00
Winnipeg - $5,730,000.00

LMAO...looniecap...there's a reliable source. You realize that I could email them today and make Saskatchewan's SMS spending go up by a million dollars right? They are reader sourced and require no verification of information. Also, they freely admit they have no salary information on upwards of 80% of the league's players and have "estimated" salaries based on an average. Good lord people I implore you to not give this any credence whatsoever.

IF accurate, this is surprising to me. I would have guessed T.O would be higher, and that BC would be at the top, I would have guessed Edm. to be somewhere around the Wpg. Hammy cap.
At any rate, what is the cap this year, I have read 5.3, 5.5, 5.7 depending on the source. With that being said I would guess Wpg. may have a surprise cut or two depending how TC goes, ditto for Ott. this would explain why they (Ott) were relatively slow during FA.
But what are BC and Edm. going to do? BC already has a weak roster in many, many places...yikes

These numbers are not even remotely accurate and I can't believe that anyone would take the time to even bother posting them.

funniest post in ages...and highly inaccurate....and look where it was posted from....just an attempt for one fanbase to make themselves feel good about signing nothing of any note other than their own players who couldn't get it done last year

Not only did they not sign anyone, they have some significant losses.

And even though apparently they have no holes on that roster...they have some holes to fill...As it stands now they have huge down grades at one DT position and SAM...not to mention a Canadian pass catcher worth much more than spit..they have potential and hope in a few bodies, but that doesn;t make up for proven experience

And who back's up their o-line if any of them get hurt..let alone 2 guys go down?

Their OL is going to be an area of concern to them for sure. Their DL has been significantly downgraded, they took huge hits in depth as well. They will still be a good team but you have to be hopelessly green tinted to think this year's Riders are better than last years...and last year's couldn't get it done.

Taken right from the website itself: All information posted is unofficial, not sanctioned by the CFL and is intended for entertainment purposes only.

Seems kinda dumb to just speculate on the SMS and make a website for it.

I applaud any effort to try and bring some way to dive into SMS workings of the teams. It seems like it's at least in the ballpark for the high end guys...so at least that's something.

To be fair, they do list the source for the top paid guys, which I imagine are the only sources which can be reasonably found. The rest seems like guesswork but at least someone's trying. I'll use it to reference the contracts of those top 15-ish players at least.

Quite honestly, I don't understand what the league's aversion is to publicizing its players' salaries. It makes no sense at all.

One theory is that a couple teams might not spend to the cap. If so, I could see why you wouldn't want that information out there. It would be discouraging as a fan to be sort of punching above your weight class every year.
