After checking around it's obvious Regina doesn't have enough hotel rooms to support a large event. No rooms to be had a year out. Hampton Inn $940 a night LMAO

A coworker of mine had to be in Calgary for a meeting on Monday morning immediately after the Grey Cup. Got a room at a Four Points for $100.

Regina's dream Grey Cup is another Ridergasm like they had in 2013. Everyone can stay with their relatives.

Most hotels in Regina are not letting you book that far out yet. I about a week and a half they should let you, and you will find more reasonable rates.

Because they can't get more unreasonable.

This made me laugh, because it definitely felt like destiny was the only way that 2013 season was going to end. If the Bombers knock out the Riders again to punch a cup appearance ticket....

$940.00 is crazy. If hotels are that expensive we will probably stay in Weyburn and travel up for the game back to Weyburn that night.

I just booked two rooms in Weyburn for the 2020 GC, for under $130.00 per night.

ok gotta ask - is the Weyburn Inn still there? Way back when they had a great Prime Rib dinner. I use to stay there working at the extended care center managing an implementation  of a health care system. Very long time ago. Not even sure the Extended Care Facility is still there.

My old job use to require me to travel to Regina alot....  10 to 15 days a month.

I worked with some great ppl there. We had some fun......  but most actually hated Cal more then us.

What i found funny was a Earls i would go to and eat. I was asked to not wear Bomber stuff.....   they kinda new me as i was there alot . One night some tuff guys were in the lounge and made a thing of it.

So i as being a nice Winnipeg boy i stopped wearing my Bomber stuff.....

About 2 weeks later we got the Jets back.

Well      .....   that same Earls was covered in Jets merch.

I just sat back n thought.....   these ppl are lost.

I dont think its a very good place to have a Cup Game. Its a dump of a city.

On the one hand, passionate fan base and the game will be a big deal. On the other hand, too small a city, it lacks infrastructure.
