Winner, winner, big steak dinner for #37! Pretty awesome hardware to get after what was a pretty tumultuous season for the Jets. Hellebuyck was by far the most consistent Jet in 2019-20.

Think it?s a good signing for Brossoit  & by Chevy for the Jets

Now who?s next .... Appleton, Harkins, does Roslovic get a contract or get moved
Sure would be interesting if Chevy could get a 3rd or 5th pick off Ottawa or 4th pick from
the Wings ...... Tuesday Draft is coming fast & is Laine being moved.
I?m even thinking Lowry (who indeed was a force in the short playoffs) could be available as we have a more productive Copp for the 3rd line center spot. Lowry & Copp both need new contracts next year

I can't see the Jet's moving Lowry. Big strong powerful forwards like him are hard to find.

No way the Jets move Lowry, IMO. He's such a solid piece down the middle and brings size and grit as well as FO prowess.

Jets just need to figure out the 2C situation with Little likely calling it quits, and then adding talent to replenish the blue line. A few pieces and they should be able to compete for another post-season run.

Getting Brossoit locked up for 2020-21 is a good move, too.

Winnipeg Jets radio broadcast rights return to CJOB/power 97 in a multi-year broadcast agreement. Great day for the Great-68.

Currently the Jets are standing with a few thousands over $14M in Cap Space ......... if Little announces his retirement or goes on LTD that brings it up to a hair over $19M.
Recently Chevy offered 6 RFA's contract offers. If all 6 sign I will speculate, on an Annual Average, for simplicity,  that C.J. Suess & Nogier get a Mill ea. but are with the Moose.
..... if these 4 are with the Jets roster ..... Niku, Harkins & Appleton together make $4.75M, while Roslovic plays for $2.75M ...... therefore that comes to 4 Jet contracts at $7.5M
If the above 4 are added to the present roster that would give us 18 of the normal 23 spots filled ..... 11 forwards & 5 Dmen (Dahlstrom is signed at $850.) & 2 goalies.
...... with Cap Space at approx. $6.5M or if Little doesn't return ....... just over $11.5M. to get the Jets near the max of $81.5Mill. with 5 contracts to go.
If Dahlstrom doesn't make it we have then only Morrissey, Pionk, Poolman & Niku signed.    Jets need at minimum, 3 more Dmen & 2 forwards.

Where do the Jets get the $$ for a 2nd line center or a Top 4 Dman. ??    To me it is easy to see why Chevy is in a bind to do something.

With the 10th pick in the Draft the Jets got a real decent future player in Cole Perfetti a C/W.
Craig Button, on his List, had him as the 5th pick to go
while Constantino for SportsNet listed him at 7th

I am okay with this pick, but I would have taken Anton Lundell.

Pleased to hear that Dylan DeMelo is donning a Jet uni for next 4 years
A very affordable $3.M per year should work indeed. Feel he?s a steady defensive player with a tendency to make good decisions.
Unless a big signing, will assume he starts with Morrissey

I am okay with this pick, but I would have taken Anton Lundell.

It was interesting to read that prior to this year we had taken Finns with our previous three initial first-round picks (Heinola in 2019, Vesalainen in 2017, and Laine in 2016).

Not a lot of picks for the Jets in this draft, but I like the players they picked up. Also a very classy move by the Jets to have Ducky's wife say a few words and then make our 1st round selection. The 10th pick, in our 10th year, by #10's wife.
