Makes you wonder why they gave up on quarterback Harris especially. Why would Ottawa give up a starting quarterback in the CFL. And go with unproven player.  Harris must have been a problem in the locker room or something, there must be some truth to it. as good as he is he can be beaten, He had too much time to throw the ball and Toronto cant cover at all.
Regardless what anyone thinks happened in Ottawa on this board it is extremely strange they let those two get away. It is Ricky Ray trade level weirdness.

Their defense did a pretty good job on the Bombers in the second half of the game last time.

Isn't it just a case of money? We could not afford Ellingson either.

Harris : $550,000
Ellingson: $250,000

RB's didn't give up on Harris, he decided to leave and convinced Ellingson to follow.  Much like the Esks. and Reilly, not much a GM can do once a player makes up his mind to go elsewhere.

Perhaps; but the net result is that Ottawa had to take a huge leap and make DD their starting QB and we can see where they got them.  On the other hand, if they broke the bank on Harris and Ellingson, they might have wound up like B.C. with MR and no offensive line.

Using this logic, how is Edm able to pay them and still have other very good players then when you are saying Ott wouldn't.

Harris is either a hot QB and looks like a world beater or he looks like a chump. Last night he looked on top of his game of course considering the competition (oh yeah they beat the Bombers, lol).

I'm not making any claims, logical or not.  I don't know the financial situation of Ottawa versus Edmonton.  I'm just wondering why, if Ottawa knew some time in advance that they weren't going to re-sign Harris, they didn't find a QB with more game experience than DD.

Oh ya, the RTP at 2Q1:35 should have been a 25-yarder upgrade, IMHO.  Direct under-chin up-slash, much like the JSK one on Bridge in the WSF that instigated the 25-yard upgrade idea.

If MBT stays down and embellishes, for sure it's upgraded to 25.  But then he has to stay out 3 plays and gets possibly EITS concussion-protocolled.  The 25 yard upgrade should not depend on how hurt the QB is/acts, but yet it does in practice.
