NWO is off a nice start this spring. The water temps are still pretty cold and the walleye is on almost everywhere. Even Whiteshell was good when I was there last month.

Another great week of fishing. To bad MTS can't keep me connected. I had trouble with my wifi and TV signal took MTS 8 days to figure things out. Still had CJOB and a local radio station, which was just fine for me. Had to take the boys to Kenora to watch the game.

How do you get internet/TV service with MTS in Ontario?

Okay I am not the tech in the family, but from what I understand my wife uses her phone as a hot spot so we can us the internet. The TV we share with our neighbors which I believe has something to with a Bell/Mts dish they have. But like I said I am not the tech in the family.

The Lake of the Woods is still producing some very nice walleye's. Most of our 16-20 inches where found in 12-20 feet of water, drifting or trolling with bottom bouncers, lindy rigs or little Joe's, and night crawlers.

Headed up to Grand Rapids on Monday. Fished Monday evening for about 90 minutes, and then Tuesday morning for about 3 hours. My two grandson's, my neighbor who is 83, and myself reeled in about 140 walleye. Most of the fish are around 14-18 inches, how ever we did bring back our limit of fish 18 - 20 inch. Drifting with bottom bouncers and little Joe's. No live bait required here. Anything that loos like a worm will do.  Nice fishing, but wow there must have been 40 -50 boats on the water by noon yesterday.

Was on Paint Lake on Monday, just slaughtered with shallow diving raps in 8-10 feet of water on a 1.5 mph troll. We boated almost 100 walleye and several in the 22-24 inch range. Going for Lake Trout this weekend near Snow lake. That should be fun too.

It's fun catching the big one, but you can't keep them. But nice to hear.

Wouldn't want to keep them anyway. The 15-18" are the best size for eating.
