19 - 0 for Argos in Q1. Two big pass plays by Argos for TD's.

Very strange time to play a game.

It's on radio.

11 am on a Thursday.  It's like they don't want people to come....

This isn't CFL 2.0, it's more like they skipped Remedial Professional Sports 101.

They're playing the game at Varsity stadium and they packed the house with school kids, sadly that has become their target market.

Well with NBA finals going on tonight smart move...as no eyes would have been on the football game in any capacity, also they are trying to focus on a younger genration so catering to a day trip for school kids to come out..good move on the Argos part if you ask me..

Hard to base anything off a single pre-season game but methinks the Alouettes are gonna be trash this season.

Of course that's true but needing to perform better comes on the heels of a horrible season. Hard to generate fan interest when you throw up another early stinker even in pre season.

Als could have a decent defense with the free agents they signed. The offense, well that's another question.

I'm guessing Mathews wins the starting role since he has the most experience.

Based on the GameTracker, it appears that the Als are playing their no-names and the Argos are using actual football players, which is fairly typical for pre-season.

All the same, it appears Bethel-Thompson and Bridge are absolutely SHREDDING the Als secondary.

their defense will be not too bad..they have some nice pieces and basically playing mostly rookies and 2nd year backups today so can't really gauge much on this game

MLSE did some cross-promotion for this game. All Argo players were wearing  "We The North" red coloured t-shirts as they got on the subway to Varsity Stadium and they wore a black "We The North" patch on their game jerseys.

Plus Lokombo, Muamba and Levels at Linebacker.  I don't know much about their Dline though.

Might as well play on a weekday afternoon in Toronto. Not like anyone shows up during prime evening games anyways.

I think it's a great idea to play pre-season games during the day and get a bunch of kids out there.
