Reading up a little, it seems as though he's simply threatening to retire.

Steelers don't HAVE to trade him though. They can force him to play or sit (as with Bell last season).

He's making a lot of money so retiring maybe a tactic. Sitting out doesn't do him any good either.

Maybe he wants to come north... although his AAV is the same as 1/3 of the entire CFL in a year, maybe he will take a paycut and come play for the love of the game, like Ocho Cinquo did... he got 19Mil up front...  he is only due 12.5mil a year for the next 3...

Steelers have traded their disgruntled 30-year-old All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for 3rd and 5th round draft picks.

That?s a brutal trade for both sides?a 3rd and 5th round pick is essentially giving him away and in the raiders, brown s career effectively fades to black. Sad it couldn?t have worked out better for both sides but I guess it was an ugly divorce !!

AB gets a giant raise and guaranteed money. Sounds like he got what he wanted. His salary in CAD is equal to over 3 - 4 CFL teams SMS.

That's just an insane amount of money.

$50 mill over 3 years with $30 mil guaranteed?they are waaay past ridiculous with these figures and why would the raiders of all teams agree to this?? It?s not like they have an elite Qb that can actually utilize such a weapon. Quite sad actually if teams can justify paying this type of money
