Is there an opening at safety?  Seems to me that Elem is the Riders safety.  Maybe Bouka will back him up and learn more of the CB position as I believe that is where Philly tried him out.  He does have an injury history that may hamper any progress.
Etem is a slightly better Hecht. Again, yes Bouka has injury history but the talent is there. If he can stay healthy...

Ti-Cats just released 14 players, among them Alex Green and Justin Capicciotti.

I'm ok with these cuts after the draft, based on who you draft...  but there will no doubt be blowback about releasing vet players this late...  and why did they extend him just before FA and then cut him before TC?  https://www.cfl.ca/2019/01/29/ticats-ink-international-rb-alex-green/

Cutting Alex Green really surprised me, wonder who they drafted and/or signed to replace him.

Never really cared for Green. But Whitlock and Capicotti surprise me along with Plummer. Also, RB Darius Victor is intriguing

We could use Capiccotti.  We really don?t have any national DEs coming to camp.

For the right price he'd be an interesting acquisition for depth in the short term. Whitlock was a versatile player and his release surprises me the most.

I wouldn't be opposed to giving his agent a call. We seem to have some interesting imports coming to TC and we drafted some DL. However, Whitlock wouldn't be an expensive acquisition and he might add a different choice in TC.

Just as an aside: this is the week where we're going to see retirements announced and some veteran released. SMS decisions and direction a team is going with some new HC's around the league.

I don't envision any real surprises in Winnipeg but who knows what some are contemplating. We don't have many real old players but there are a couple.

Maybe Tiger Cats are freeing up some extra SMS for Solly?

Kongbo may not be ready for camp, but he will be on the roster.  And we do have a lot on the DLine already.

Capicotti's best days are behind him, I'm betting he avoids camp wear and tear, and waits for an injury out there increases his value...

And we don't necessarily need one. Capicotti isn't really a STer and Kongbo is more of a luxury than a must as we have Canadian DTs

Kongbo hasn?t signed a contract yet, nor is he healthy.  But he will likely end up on the roster sooner or later.

I have always liked Capicciotti, and I feel that we?ve had a bit of a depth gap since Corney went MIA.

Hey. Boss, what are you thinking about Winnipeg? They. Gonna. Cut some. Names?
How about re- signing Dressler?  He's better than anything we have.
