If Mathieu Betts is available at 4 I can't imagine they don't take him.

I can?t imagine him being there at 4...but let?s hope Kongbo is.

Betts has NFL interest but who knows what is going to happen with him.  If he is available and Bombers don't lock him up, then this organization has no clue on who to draft.  I have seen Betts play and the guy is simply a stud.

Definitely sounds like it.

I wonder how his recovery from the knee injury is going?

ACL & MCL will definitely take some major recovery time. If the BB feel he?ll slip in the draft they may want to grab Fontana at 4 and trade down with the 5th pick to get an extra pick in the 2nd (to grab Nate Anderson or Robbie Smith)...or try to trade up to get Betts.

I can't remember the term for when you blow out the ACL, MCL, and meniscus, but that is indeed a major injury.Something like the "unhappy triad". Cheesy

Scares me away as an early pick.

Not a signing but related to the Powell signing, and this knee injury discussion:

Arielle Zerr

@arielle_zerr

O'Day says Mason had ACL surgery. He's out for the season. Big part of why they targeted Powell.

@JDunk12
#Riders agrees to terms on a two-year contract with RB William Powell https://3downnation.com/2019/02/12/riders-agrees-to-terms-with-rb-william-powell/ ? #Saskatchewan #YQR #Riderville #Ottawa #Redblacks #RNation #CFL

I actually think this is a good move for the Riders.  I guess I'm the only one.  SSK does better when they have a legit power-run game.  Probably cost them a pretty penny though.

Must be cool for Hamilton fans to know they've made the Grey Cup in February.

Comment of the day.   Grin

That's a ridiculous amount of money for Ellingson.

Especially since he did absolutely nothing in the GC.  Past his prime finally?

MCL can actually be played with torn and generally doesn't require surgery..PCL is more devastating to go with the ACL
I blew my ACL..PCL and MCL all at once my first major knee injury...And my rehab was 14 months to be back playing, but that was in the early 90's when surgery was more intrusive and way less advanced...My second was about 6-7 years later and was just ACL and was back in just under 11 months...recovery is much faster now, and the techniques to fix it way better too
 If Kongbgo is ther at 4 or 5 I'd take him as I doubt Betts will be

I knew that was going to happen as he was in TO last night at the MLSE suite during the Raps game.

They flew him in but I don't think anything was set in stone until he became the richest receiver in CFL history. Sure glad we didn't sign him to silly money like that.
