WINNIPEG, MB., January 17, 2019 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed international linebacker Jarnor Jones and International offensive lineman Chauncey Briggs.

In 2016, Jones shared the award for CMU's Defensive Player of the Year. In 2017, Jones signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent before joining the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.

Briggs

Is Foketi on contract? If so, I imagine Briggs is TCF.

Jones looks sort of intriguing. Good pedigree.

Briggs would probably be a cheaper option then Foketi.

Foketi can't be making much but OTOH we've had to roster him on the DR in order to keep him available. Not the worst idea but a rookie might be more inclined to accept a PR role. That saves SMS of at least an ELC amount. It's only a guess but Foketi @ $65K-$70K?

I'd hate to see him go unless we get some value in trade and send him out east. Not likely but possible.
