For the right price J. St John might be worth a look. He has some experience which is more than Speller or our 2 2018 draft choices.

The fact he hasn't re-signed might suggest he's asking more than any team wants to pay.

Or that he washed out... first rounders can fail...

There a couple of veteran centre's out there right now. If the bombers are worried about Canadian depth on the OL they can pickup one of them. Would a nice insurance policy.

One looks like he just dropped off the list...

Johnson was gone last season because Bryant beat him out. Not sure why you would even bring him up? He's no loss. Fogg's returns? That is an area he struggled with last year plus it is completely irrelevant to defence. Throwing crap agains the wall to see what sticks TBurg?
I bring Johnson up for 2 reasons. Even tho he wasn't a starter by the end of the year, he was still good depth and letting 2 import DT's go means that were more likely to got NI at a DT spot.

Fogg did more than just play DB. His returns are part of what he brought to the table.

The team has re-signed international defensive tackle Drake Nevis to a one-year contract.

There goes my theory that we're going NI at DT.  Cheesy

The theory of Nat at DT was based on 7 Nat starters... which just went out the window, so you weren't really wrong...

I don't think a NI DT starting was really ever close to a 1st choice.

If we do add 2 import starters I wonder where we most likely see them? In theory adding 2 doesn't necessarily mean they are full time starters. They could be non starting, non DI players.

For example an import RB or OL that could come in without having to pull another import.

Hmm, this guy is interesting.  Dropped by AAF Hotshots before week 1.  5'9"/188 isn't going to be the 50/50 ladder-climb ball guy we so desperately need, but he sure is a speedster.  Routes look good and his cuts are impressive.

Maybe a Dress/Flanders replacement?  Flanders but with better hands?  But as Chevelle is so fond of saying, we don't throw those 60yd bombs that this guy really would excel at.  But I bet he can do returns...

Boy I wish we could find the next Stegall... maybe this guy is it?  Who knows.  At 24 he has tons of time... but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'll be happy if we find the next Weston Dressler.

I'm currently in Cameroon, but I can smell the BS from here.

AAF cut doesn't equal bad player. No management is perfect. Good players get cut. Bad players don't sometimes. It happens

BOMBERS ADD RECEIVER TO ROSTER

WINNIPEG, MB., March 19, 2019 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed international wide receiver Kenneth Walker.

Walker (5'9, 188, UCLA, April 1, 1994 in Brookside, CA.) played four seasons for the UCLA Bruins, tallying 45 receptions for 810 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 47 games played. In 2017, Walker signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent. Walker was added to the Stampeders practice roster in October of 2017, and spent training camp with them in 2018.  Walker was also a track star at UCLA.

I agree... Like I said before, cut from AAF, then come to CFL, could be a good player.  Cut from CFL then cut from AAF?  Then you're done.  Wink

One of these years we gotta strike gold with a WR... it's just gotta happen, right?  Right??  Embarrassed Sad Undecided
