Great news! I did not expect us to be able to retain a ST specialist like Miller. Must be an O'Shea effect.

Why would we not be able to retain Miller? If we retain Biggie you can probably call that the O'Shea effect but Miller? More like the "I gotta fair offer and not many teams are making room for ST specialists anymore so Ill re-up here" effect.

He struck me as a mercenary for hire. Being a career STer, he seems like someone that would change teams for an extra 2k, which he may have gotten by testing FA. I'm not suggesting he would command a giant raise. I also wasn't sure what a signing priority he was, so the fact that he put his name up for a re-signing at this point is a bit of a surprise and indicates he's happy here.

Mike Miller @MillerWm17
My family and I couldn't be happier to be staying in Winnipeg! Love my teammates, Coaches, the organization and fans! Cheers to 2 more years #ForTheWFrom the Bomber site... "I?ve really enjoyed my two years here. The coaches are great, teammates are great, and the organization is top-notch. Plus, my family loves Winnipeg and all that makes it a really good fit for us.? Miller making Winnipeg home for 2 more years. 📝 | http://ow.ly/UJWO30mWXbI

He struck me as a mercenary for hire.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's only ever played for two teams, the Esks and the Bombers, and IIRC he was with the Esks for at least four seasons? Not really the mercenary/gun for hire mold. Nonetheless, glad he's back.

It also demonstrates you are not paying a ton of attention.

Lot`s of them to get re-signed still. My guess is Thomas Miles is next.

You are correct, and he only left Edmonton because they released him. I think he's a really loyal guy who just loves playing football.

You are correct, but I didn't google that until yesterday. Just a gut feeling I had that turned out to be inaccurate. It also demonstrates you are not paying a ton of attention.
The next time I need information about the background and emotional leanings of a career STer, I'll be sure to turn to you then, k? Cuck-ah!

Pretty sure all the foot soldier guys we want back will be easily signed...generally the ones that don't come back are the ones that the team actually releases, or has on the PR at end of year and aren't looked at as priority.
The free-agent ones tho that the team deems key to the team...will all be back unless one gets a really hard tio turn down deal from a team where they are from...or close to being from
