I'd be more concerned if Matthews stabbed someone as opposed to getting stabbed.

Might of had something to do with oysters, who knows, I'm not going to speculate. As far as being concerned, well there's none of that coming from me or the locker room I bet. Bombers are doing just fine in the W & L column without him at the moment. If its a nothing burger and he plays his way back into the line-up and contributes as he was expected to that's a bonus.

Sounds like they are walking back the stabbing... more that someone was impaled... I guess there is a big difference in that...  active intent...

I'd be more concerned if Matthews stabbed someone as opposed to getting stabbed. My wild speculation is that this all resulted from someone seeing a local sports celeb that spent some time in "The League" in a restaurant/bar late at night and decided to show off to his buddies by starting something.
I agree. IMO this probably wouldn't even have made the news if Matthews wasn't a sports celebrity.

BOMBERS ADD WIDE RECEIVER JANARION GRANT

July 23, 2019 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added American receiver/returner Janarion Grant to the practice roster.

Grant (5-10, 173, Rutgers, November 11, 1993, in Fort Trilby, FL) was a returner in college over five seasons. He recorded 115 kick returns for 2,857 net yards and five kick return touchdowns to go along with 52 punt returns for 588 net yards and three punt return touchdowns. Grant signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens on May 7, 2018.

Janarion Grant was with the #Ticats in camp. Inside Info perhaps. Kid can return the ball though. #CFL

The club has released Alex Morrison and Jamar McGloster from the practice roster.

The #Bombers make two practice roster moves, releasing Canadian receiver Alex Morrison and American O-lineman Jamar McGloster. The latter indicates offensive tackle Darrell Williams has captured Winnipeg's reserve American O-lineman job since joining the team six weeks ago.

Surprised as McGloster looked good in the preseason

IIRC McGloster is better suited to playing guard and Williams is a tackle so this doesn't surprise me.

Encouraging whenever you have turnover on a roster, it usually means scouts have brought in guys that have taken jobs away from incumbents...   even on the PR, this is important as PR players are one hit away from the AR...

Now we have some open spaces on the PR. Room for Walker and Warren if they decide to activate Matthews and Bighill.

Actually I believe it was McGloster was viewed as only a tackle whereas Williams has more versatility

Bighill is in the AR already. He was just a the 1-man reserve lfor the last games.
If they want to move Matthews to the AR, yeah they need to move 1 American off the AR, likely Walker.

No need to move anyone to the PR, they can be 1 gamed...

I know that but I'm not expecting Warren to be on the reserve or 1 game IR. If Bighill dresses I'm guessing Warren moves back to the PR. Or we might end up with K. Jones moving ahead of Warren as the # 46 non dressed player?

Matthews could be another game day decision so we could see him or Walker as the possible choice being made.
