....and Odell Beckham Jr.'s new deal....

According to multiple reports, the (5 year) deal has a base value of $90 million, with an additional $5 million available through incentives. The contract includes $65 million guaranteed for injury and $41 million fully guaranteed at signing. According to NFL Network, the deal averages $20 million over the first three seasons.

Rodgers' former teammate and current NFL Network analyst James Jones reports Rodgers gets over $100 million guaranteed. Rodgers is now the league's highest-paid player at $33.5 million per year in new money, topping the $30 million per year Matt Ryan got from the Falcons earlier in the offseason.

Maybe spell his name right. Aaron Rodgers.

It is $104 guaranteed. Insane but that is where are headed. Nuts. Completely stupid nuts. To play 16 plus max 3-4 more in playoffs where they do get further compensated. I have his jersey T. Should get a dollar sign embroidered on it.

Rodgers is also coming off a deal that paid him just over $100M. Career earnings will be well over $250M not including all his endorsements, etc.

Not really. NHL salaries are comparatively reasonable.

Relatively maybe, kinda, sorta. Kane and Toews have the two highest NHL contracts They have eight-year, 84 million dollar contracts (fully-guaranteed). Rodgers has a four-year 134 million dollar contract of which 100 million is guaranteed. Rodgers is making about $33.5M per season, the top NHL players make $10.5M.

That's exactly my point. Even the highest paid NHL player is making less than half of what Rodgers is this year.

NHL players still make a ton, don't get me wrong. But it's not in the same hemisphere as NFL, NBA, or MLB players.

Not really. NHL salaries are comparatively reasonable.

Comparatively the NFL is making twice as much revenue as the NHL is, the contract numbers are pretty even across the board.

NHL average salary in 2011 was $2.4M. With 23 man rosters = $55.2M per team (which would make sense with a $56.7M salary cap in 2011. It's probably closer to $75M with today's salary cap)

NFL average salary in 2017 was $2.7M. With 53 man rosters = $143.1M per team (basically double what today's NHL numbers would be if calculated)

Rodgers is easily directly responsible for far far more than $100M of the revenue the NFL makes each season. If anything he is underpaid for the amount of money generated off of his name+work.
