If he is a starting receiver for us and pitches in 600 yards that's fair market value. NAT receivers don't come cheap and are at a premium around the league because there are not many quality NAT receivers. This is the snowball effect of losing Westerman. We gotta shift ratio and pay through the nose for a NAT receiver that can contribute.

That's probably at least 40% too high, Hope it's not true.

In theory that's more than we signed Bowman for this week. Canadian or not they are on different plants as to what each has proven.

From Jeff Hamilton: With the Nic Demski signing, it's looking more and more like the #Bombers will move on from Jamaal Westerman. It also looks like WPG will also start two Canadian receivers. No one will be happier than Justin Medlock that Matt Coates is surely to have a spot on the club.

How much did JFG expect then?  He had 462 yards and 45 receptions in 17 games.

It could certainly top out at 160K, possibly. I have a hard time believing he's worth more than Bowman straight up even if he's 24 and Canadian.

For sure. The passport brings the payday though.

exactly!  plus this has to be more of a 'want' than 'need' with adding Bowman....

No...we NEEDED a NAT somewhere to make our ratio work. I guess Demski will be that guy.

Gbill, is it still too early for me to start to panic? I'm starting to feel a little twitchy here...

Only works if we go with 2 NI receivers. I'd take Westerman at $180K over Demski at $160K.

Nope still lots of time.  If I recall correctly, most signings happen between 1:00pm and 3:00pm central time.

Would you take Westerman at $210K over Demski at 160K? Because that's probably more likely.

I guess this means that we get Hurl in exchange of Demski...

From Dunk: #Bombers ink Canadian receiver and returner Nic Demski for around $130,000 - $30,000 signing bonus - for the 2018 season
