If Fogg gets beat out at the HB spot and Landford get beat out at receiver do they still stay on as returners as a DI or do we have other options, maybe Demski, Givens or maybe Flanders. I can't see keeping 2 guys as DI just for just returns. Walters has brought in some good receivers this year plus some carry over from last year, and for CB and HB again there have been a lot of decent players brought in.

Right now I think we just need a little more help at LB as most of our guys are just STers and maybe one more Nat player.

Ya, they really did, not sure why they're leaving the left coast. Wally seems to find a way to make them competitive, but it looks like they'll be ranked last in the West.

I REALLY like the signings we did, quality, shut down DB-check, playmaking WR-check, upgraded ST-check. We just need a MLB.....drum roll please!!!

From Jeff Hamilton: According to sources, Jamaal Westerman made it clear he wanted to test free agency. The Bombers were said to have spent weeks trying to retain him, offering three separate offers, with the last one coming in at nearly $200,000 -- a raise of almost $40K from 2017. #wfp

Maybe something to do with his injury? Unhappy that he was shut down for the year?

There were rumours he requested a trade back in 2015 or 2016 I believe. Or maybe he really wants to play with his bro?  Could be lots we aren?t aware of...

I'm kinda surprised. I met him this past September and he seemed to love it here. Great guy. But that being said, playing with his brother might be more important to him than I thought it would be

His brother could have signed here last year.

Apparently Bombers offer was quite low compared to what Montreal gave him. Guy needs to look out for himself and his family.

I m hoping the recent FA signings make Westerman think twice about signing somewhere else. It's been a while since I could say this, but I think the Bombers have made the most significant gains roster wise than any other team in the CFL, and we had a pretty decent roster to start with (12-6 record). Upgraded backup Qb, shutdown DB, impact WR, NAT Slotback and RB depth signed...yes, we need a MLB, but I am sure that signing is forthcoming and expectations have to be running high with a roster like ours.

If Westerman wants a shot at a GC, he ain't gonna get it in Montreal, he's got to comeback here!! $200k is a very fair offer.

Arrarently Kavis took a flight to NJ to visit Westerman in person today. No announcement on a deal yet speaks volumes in my opinion.

If he wants money and misery, and be part of that gong show, lead by Kavis, then go to Montreal. If he wants to get a decent dollar, and have a run at the GC, come back to the Peg.

I believe Todd Howard, our old Dline coach is in MTL. Judging by Westermans instagram, he was tight with the coach. Could be another reason why he likes MTL

UNless Westerman is moving to MLB, Howard won't be "his" coach in MTL...
