She is a super nice person, as are the members of her team. My friend used to be her fianc? and we used to have beers at the St. Vital often. I find it humorous when someone feels the need to slag curling when they have almost zero experience in the sport. To get to that level of curling it demands vast amounts of practice, dedication, and physical ability. To suggest it is not a sport is completely erroneous and somewhat ignorant. You don't have to like it, but why do people feel the need to minimize it just because it is not their cup of tea?

Best female curler of the modern era?
Easily. She will leave dynasty behind when she retires. Not sure if the rest of her rink will disband, but Canada women's curling is in good hands with Rachel Homan.

Not so sure about that. The Homan team has to make it though the summer. Mite see a little line up change.

To be honest, I doubt the line up changes. Plenty of teams have bad tournaments. Unfortunately for Team Homan, it came at the worst possible moment.

Einarson, Sweeting, Birchard, Mueller. The new team in Manitoba. Carey is also looking for a new team.

Einarson is no slouch.
Carey will likely stick with Alberta. She can't break out in Manitoba, especially now with Einarson coming up behind Jones.

You ever notice how much alcohol is involved at the amatuer/local club levels of curling, golf, bowling, An darts.......it's crazy
most sports have booze at those levels

And for many it's the only reason they play the sports...

At an amateur level. However sport for top teams or players in a serious business.

Sure but strategy and planning doesn?t automatically = sport. I put curling in the same category as golf, bowling and darts.
I'd love to get you on the course and watch you try to hit a ball. You'd miss embarrassingly and I'd laugh and laugh and laugh. The only people who think golf isn't a sport are those who have never played.

Should Jennifer step back with Jill. Both didn't have a great playoff this weekend. Jennifer struggled to make shots when it counted. Or is the team just tired.
