yeah another receiver or a a higher paid quality starter is going to have to shake free there...especially if they want to hold back $$ for the chance Zylstra comes back and will want to be paid

I wouldn't expect him to go anywhere else.

There was zero chance he was going elsewhere....especially when Edmonton is willing to pay like that. I have to wonder about the future of Adarious Bowman now.

That's a lot of cheddar in their receiving corps right now. Somethings gotta give.

Last year he apparently made 250k according to the rumors. I'm pretty sure his salary won't decrease this year on his current contract. Given Walkers big re-up, the fact that Zylstra is going to demand huge dollars upon his return, I think the Shmoes might take a good hard look at Bowman's worth, especially since he did not perform all that well last season.

Sounds like a no brainer to me. I can't believe he was making that much. The value was absolutely not there. If I were them and had even a decent hint Zylstra would be back sooner than later, I'd cut Bowman so fast...

In fairness, it was up until last year. The year before the dude has over 1700 receiving yards. Everyone starts slowing down and he's 33 this July.

From John Hodge: Following today's re-signing of Derel Walker, the #Esks have now committed almost 20 percent of the club's salary cap to three players: Walker, Adarius Bowman & Mike Reilly. #CFL

Its too bad about Walker, but what would help us even more is to unearth the next Walker or Burnham, at an entry level salary. Scouts need to earn their keep.

We have a new US Scout now, the one that found Burnham...

Would you want us to have 20% of our SMS tied up in 2 rec's and a QB like Edmonton does?  They obviously have a plethora of players they need to sign or release with so many on the IR last year, but you can bet that they will be parting ways with a number of vets...

ADAMS, Johnny    I    DB    Michigan State
