I am 29 yrs old. Been a huge fan since I started going to games on my own with a friend in 2000 . I was never a season ticket holder back then, not sure why because we went to 80% of the games anyways. Finally did get season tickets in 2010 in section S. We now sit sec 205 row 2. If you ever see a banner hanging off the rafters about cfl loudest crowd at ig field..its ours. We sit with about 20 bomber friends in row 1 and 2. In my off football life I run a school age daycare and have many sports teams we follow including the jets, and oilers aswell as nfl packers  and mlb angels. Jersey on this forum is my boyfriend.

Hi. My name is Dan and I'm 60 years old. I've been a follower since before Don Jonas but I became an avid fan during the Dieter Brock's era. I read this forum almost daily to find out what the Bombers are doing. I can't remember if I ever posted here before and that's because I never felt I could add to a home grown fan base. You see, I was born and raised and still live in southern Ontario. I've been to many Bomber games in Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa. I've only been to one home Bomber game in the old stadium. I hope to add more in the new IGF. I wear my Bomber gear proudly and I'm happy to say my son is a big fan too. We were at the Varsity pre-season game. Many people ask me why I support the Bombers and I answer that I want to be a fan of a team that is exciting and plays hard, even if they don't always win. I got to meet O'Shea, Drew Willy and Reaves at the Varsity game. I would really like for Reaves to make an impact. Wouldn't that be historic. I can't remember the last time I missed a Bomber game on TV. Cheers from the biggest Bomber fan east of Thunder Bay.

Introduction from Going Deep (as copied from the forum):

Hello everyone,
I am just wanting to introduce myself to all the posters on this site. I have been on this site many times reading all you thoughts and takes on our great team but this is my very first posting. I am 42 years old and bleed blue and gold from every fiber of my being and always believe every year that this "is the year".. The first time I will get to be drunk in the pride and love for my bombers,  and my brother and sister blue  nation raise the Cup and end this Grey Cup  drought. Growing up I wasn't all that interested in football until I was taken to a game in 1991. That's right the year after they last won the elusive  grey cup. We have had some close ones and ones that were stolen from us  by the riders due to the fact our quarter back was  freaky eyes Dinwiddie that year. Yes that one still stings. I feel like we are seeing a great coach and dynasty in the making being born. I hope that birth is this season in our home town Winnipeg. This city would explode like stories of past home victories that have been shared. Well that's me and I look forward to talking and sharing on this site with all of you. Let the road to the cup begin.

Hi All,

I've been following this site since about 2010. I've been a fan of the Bombers and the CFL since around the time Leon Mcquay dropped the frickin' ball and I had to pay my grade 5 teacher (a nun) 5 bucks. Our family moved into St.James in 1975 and I have lived close enough to walk to Bomber games ever since (well not any more since the move to IGF)...

I spent a few summers working in southern Saskatchewan in the 80's as well, so I saw first-hand how much those people love their football. I might even say I'm a bit of a Rider fan as a result (ptteewww, man, that was hard to type!!). I was in the eighth row behind the Edmonton bench the night Matt Dunigan threw for 713 yards.

I have been a season ticket holder off and on - most recent stretch since 2011. I don't proclaim to be a X's and O's football expert but I know enough to comment and discuss.

I am a realist - not an overly-optimistic lollipop and rainbows lovey-dovey fan. I have been a true fan through the lean years before, during, and after the last three Blue Bomber championships. If I wasn't realistic, I wouldn't enjoy the CFL game as much as I do. I have appreciated the talents of players on the other teams - Warren Moon , Anthony Calvillo, Geroy Simon, Allan Pitts, etc. This team came close more often than not as fans my age recall. The Bombers were once the class of the west and other teams did not enjoy playing them. Stick around long enough and it will happen again. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. Believe in Blue!

Hi All,

I'm 53 years old and I've been following this site since about 2010. I just started posting recently. I have been a season ticket holder off and on - most recent stretch since 2011 when I talked my spouse into coming to games with me, even though she proclaims to hate sports. We now travel the 40 minutes by bus to and from Polo Park to as many games as possible and we give our tickets to various other fans - minor football players, our kids or whoever - when we can't go. She now knows enough to make noise when the other team has the ball and she know what first downs are!!

I don't proclaim to be a X's and O's football expert but I know enough to comment and discuss. I like this forum and the different characters on it which is why I chose to post on it.

Welcome to the forum.

And hello from another guy that lives in St James and close enuff to walk to the games at the old digs.

Boomer George

Hey guys,

Brand new Bombers fan. Actually, brand new CFL fan in general.  23 years old, living/from Hailfax

My grandfather was born and raised in Winnipeg, and has been a fan since their inception back in the 30's. Recently watched my first CFL game with him, and realized how exciting it is. Big fan of the NFL, and I find the different style of play very entertaining. Looking forward to learning about the team and seeing some success in the future!

Hi
I'm 62 years old.  Enjoyed watching 3 Grey Cup wins.  Tommy Clements, 1984 victory is my favorite.  Those were grand days, looking forward to seeing them return in the near future.
