Mighty Ducks > Ducks (almost as lame as the New Orleans Pelicans)

And that Mighty Ducks logo was original and fun, even more so when you compare it to the ugly, boring D logo the team uses now.

With regard to the teams with knights in their name, London Knights have the better logo:

My 0.02, the London Knights logo is an order of magnitude cooler - if "cool" could be quantified.

Common name!  Perhaps Vegas could tweak the moniker... silver knights, portly knights, platinum knights, molybdenum knights, black knights (its just a flesh wound), chartreuse knights  ;D

Dark Knights? Could use the bat signal as their logo, and shine it into the Vegas sky after a win. No trademark issue there!

If you read the article, it says they do not anticipate it to be an issue...  there are a number of pro sport and college teams with identical names, and no "confusion".

The main point of the issue is that the new use of a logo/trademark would be taking advantage of the previous user's  investment in the branding.  Not sure an NCAA div II school can argue that idea about a pro sports franchise...

It is not a simple thing to be successful on a trademark application when another business or organization in the same category has a history of using a name or mark.  The college may come to some sort of an agreement with the Vegas team but when they do that, they weaken their position on future applications.  I've been involved is such issues.

Big City Knights?  That distinguishes them from sleepy London.  Although they may have legal issues with the Klaus Meine and the Scorpions. :)

With his two goals in the Centennial Classic yesterday, Matthews now leads the NHL in rookie scoring.

The race for the Calder has sure heated up recently.

Laine was really heating up before the Buffalo game.  More to the point, the ESL line was heating up.

Looking forward to a speedy recovery for Laine.

ESL?  SEL?  LES?

Scheifele is American, so ESL really doesn't fit him, although it does for the other two ;)

SEL?  If they were a little more Salty, sure...

LES?  If LES is MORE, then sure...

THis line will be here for a while, we need to come up with a catchy name for them.  ESL isn't it...

Not sure what the hell I just read but you think Scheifele is American...? Since when is Kitchener, ONTARIO part of another country? ???
