Ya its been a crazy year. I think with Stamkos out for that long its really going to hurt Tampa. Cal could also be in trouble.

I'd agree but the Bolts have been here before (2013-14) and are a better team this season. I doubt they miss a beat this season even in his absence.

The Flames are off to a terrible start.

Either Stammer is made if glass or he over trains. Either way he gets these big leg injuries to often.

It's quite a top-heavy contract according to LeBrun who was on H&L this afternoon: $40M for the first four seasons, $14M for seasons 5 & 6, and $5M per for the final two.

This is a great signing for both parties and having him on the Sharks blueline for the remainder of his career is huge.

The name is underwhelming, IMO, but the main logo is clean and sharp. Not sure what to make of the star/sword logo, though. I'm interested to see what the jerseys will look like.

Seems to be a contrast between Foley and McPhee in terms of their views and what it'll take to build a solid franchise. I think the latter has a better handle on it, to be honest.

It is cool, which is why it's been done a butt load of times before.

The "Vegas Knights" will not be an "encumbered" name. 

Remember the "Anaheim Mighty Ducks"  with their stupid logo and silly name?  Now the Anaheim Ducks...

or the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?

Vegas Knights will be a very good name, and the logos are clean and sharp.  And the promotional tie ins are excellent...

Knight Life in Vegas?  Come for the Knights?  Parading the players out as the "Hot Knights in Vegas"...

And can you imagine the mascot / promo items?  Big foam swords, foam helmets...


Absolutely makes sense, and the "golden" is just there to assuage the London Knights....
