Based on watching TSN... they'll be retiring Matthews jersey number by the end of October.

Excited about the Sharks this season. Lost noone of actual value, added Boedker on Couture's line, Marleau doesn't looks like he has lost his first few strides, Jones has some experience under his belt as a #1, and Timo should be ready by November. Stay healthy and they've got a real shot I would think.

No, that's just your typical over-read/misinterpretation. He's simply saying getting the win is more valuable - which it is.

Not dissimilar to what Matthews said in his post-game interview last night: he'd have preferred getting the win despite his historic first NHL game.

I wouldn't care at all if I were a Leafs fan. The young talent on that team (Matthews, Nylander, Marner in particular) is very impressive. Pair it with the best coach in the league, and that team is poised to do some damage in the coming years. The Leafs might be the only team I'd be jealous of prospect wise as a Jets fan. I think the Jets are a little more well-rounded though.

Huh? Oilers,  Hurricanes,  Florida etc...  All have a lot to say before u only list one team that gets coverage here and leafs from TSN.  There is alot of greats prospects from other teams forming. How u came up with only those two.. Lol.
