statistically has been bad for about 4 years (this year included)
Another example of the gamble GM's take in these long contracts

Guessing he could look rejuvenated if he was on a line with at least 1 very talented winger. If with 2 sluggos well then a team will get a short check & off style. Hardly worth major moolah

Does clearing waivers make him more attractive in a trade?

Are "compliance buyouts" done with?

Only for the fact it proves there is absolutely nobody that is willing to take on his contract. Lombardi will have to either eat 50% or more of his salary, or take a cap hit of $1 mil per while still paying him full salary for the next 5 years in Manchester. And I'm thinking at that point Richards would rather retire, which apparently punishes the Kings even more. LOL

And yes, buyouts are done with!

Nabby waived by the Lightning Sad

I was hoping he would get a shot at the cup with them. Jets, bring him in! Smiley

LOL

Why would anyone want a 39-year old goalie?

I wasn't being serious, he's just my all-time favorite player.

Fair enough. Wink

He had a good career with the Sharks.

Yep, I'll always consider his save against Dallas in OT to be the best ever no matter how biased that comes across.

Kinda upset right now that I missed out on probably my last chance to meet him when the Lightning were in town in October. I had no idea he was playing with the Lightning beforehand. Hope he can sign as a backup with a team that has a road game in Winnipeg left this season.

Evgeni Nabokov dealt to the Sharks so he can retire with his longest tenured team.

I'm sure it'll be featured. This is a classy move by Yzerman.
