Only he'd be dumb enough to throw another goalie under the bus. And then double down - again. LOL

Nill's gotta find a new coach now. Love that for him. ;D

We were talking about this very issue around the water cooler at work last week. Just couldn't believe that DeBoer would throw his goalie under the bus like that. Then again, maybe he knew he was getting smoked after losing to the Oil so maybe he just thought he'd lash out at his goalie too.

Makes it sting a little bit more that we lost to a DeBoer team.

How can the NHL continue to condone the actions of a turd like Sam Bennett? He clearly tried to injure Skinner (and may have). How is he still allowed to play in this game? How is he not suspended?
Go Bombers!

Jockitch

Bennett, Tkachuk and Marchand all seem to be able to take turns with edgy play. Getting into Skin's grill is especially sly and a tact that definitely could be termed unsportsmanlike.
However, though I also may be shouting for Bennett to get a penalty, I can appreciate the feisty provocations.

Unfortunate loss by the Oilers but really found it so very entertaining

Panther played a strong road game. Oiler's should have gotten a delay of game penalty on that one icing. Three players go sit on the bench, they all knew they where on the ice at the time of the icing.

Right. Here's the thing -- if, let's say, Leon Dreisaitl, were to park himself in front of Bobrovsky, and as soon as he felt any kind of contact, fell backward onto Bobrovsky, potentially injuring him, would he get a 2 minute interference penalty, or would he be watching the rest of the game from the locker room? How about if this was the 2nd or 3rd goalie in the playoffs that he'd done this to? My point is, why is the league allowing certain players to seriously injure other players? That's what it looks like.

So, it's open season on goalies now, or just goalies not playing for the Florida Panthers?

And Florida should have gotten a too-many-men penalty, a cross-check-to-the-face penalty, and several other penalties that weren't called.

That goes both ways, the Oilers are not choir boys.  Love Bennett make him a Jet.

Nelson extended with the Avalanche. 3 years, $22.5 M. Figured he would head home to Minnesota.

You like players that intentionally injure other players.

He's no different then Nurse. But, I do love Sam Bennett's grit. He's going to get paid this summer.

Bennet knocked the Leafs starting goalie out with a concussion from what looked like a deliberate elbow to the head.

I have no interest at all in hockey played that way.

It's no different than than the Saskatchewan Roughriders player who destroyed streveler's knee.

And that player was banned from the CFL which we all approved.

Not to veer off topic here, but Miles Brown is still playing in the CFL. He was never banned.

Bennett's a dirtbag. He'll continue to get away with his slimy antics until another player does something about it; the league doesn't seem to care.

Thanks, Yes.. wrong guy.

I don't think the fact that another player is as bad as Bennett makes the slightest difference.

And yes, clearly the league is doing nothing.  Don't talk ever again about player safety. May as well be honest and dump the office dealing with it.

Money over all else.
