Habs out, Bolts out. Caps vs. Canes in round 2.

Can the Sens force game 7?

Helle is going to get a lot of votes, but with him a for sure Vezina winner, maybe Draisaitl edges him out.  Not sure Kucherov gets a vote outside his broadcast team.
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

You need to get votes, and with some voters already giving Helle the Vezina vote, they might give Drai the first vote for Hart.

Its always been the issue with giving a goaler the Hart.

Again: that's not how it works.

The GMs (32 in total) vote for the Vezina winner. The Professional Hockey Writers' Association votes for the Hart winner.

And it's not an issue. It's just not common for a goaltender to be a team's MVP, which makes it extra special when one is nominated.

I am wondering what will happen with Laine. Only 52 games this season, but he did score 20 goals. Got into Montreal's dog house late in the season. And, what's he worth.

He was a healthy scratch the last three games. Not a great look with that $8.7M tag, which makes me wonder about his future in Montreal. He's still got another year on that contract.

It is too bad about Laine.  Its sad there is not even a  place for him here is MTL eats half his deal.  He might be an interesting way to entice Ehlers to stay...  can Perfetti centre the two of them?  Would that be a second line?

Perfetti is a 3rd line centre at best. We need a solid second line center, someone like John Tavares who's gonna be a free agent this off-season, that's a big big step up from Perfetti, and with MS 55 injury man do we need a guy like John Tavares right now! Perfetti is not the answer for our second line

Sens didn't make it easy, but the Leafs got the win and will play the Panthers in the second round.

Wild, Kings can't force game 7. Garbage Knights/Oilers will be a good series.

Lane Hutson should win Rookie of the year. 5'9" 162 lb. D-man had 6 G, 60 A. Outstanding season.

Wow, remember when Gretzky signed the first million dollar contract and everyone was astounded, now an average joe gets $6 million a year....the old timers who played in the 60's and got screwed over by owners with take it or leave it offers must just freak when they hear these figures!! Doesn't seem fair, one got hosed the others are being paid outrageous sums of money to play a game. Welcome to modern day pro sports!!
