The Predators were probably the hottest team going into round 2 after absolutely dominating the top seed in the Western Conference. The Blues did give them a run for their money last night and if not for a botched poke check by Allen, OT could've made it anyone's game to win. Game 2 should be interesting.

The Ducks are arguably the top team remaining in the West at this stage, at least when you look at the overall makeup of the team. Talent, depth, veteran experience... I mean, five straight Pacific Division titles alone speaks to their consistency and success. The Oilers stole a huge win last night in Anaheim, so the Ducks will be smartin' tomorrow and if last night's shenanigans late in the game are any indication, they're going to do all they can to get under the visiting team's skin early and often.

It's really hard to gauge a series after one game.

Im actually going to be in the game 3 concourse pass. We are in huge winter garden which is part of the arena you walk into before you enter rink concourse. DJ plays music before, intermission, after game and turns into huge dance party with drinks and food! $85.00 a ticket just to smell the arena ice and hear atmosphere. It's pretty electric though with 2,000 others.

Oilers have sold out there 3rd straight watch away party at Rogers Place in 30 minutes.18,000 plus. But I won't make that on time..nor did I get tix 😡 Can't waaaaait to arrive later tonight.

But 2,000 empty seats for a second-round playoff matchup against an Original Six opponent? That almost seems sacrilegious in Canada.

This feels especially true when you contrast the scene in Ottawa on Thursday night with the situation involving the other Canadian team still alive in the playoffs. In Edmonton, fans are paying $85 for something called a ?Concourse Pass? at Rogers Place - which allows you nothing but access to the arena and offers no view of the ice surface.

For roughly the same price, Ottawa fans turned down the opportunity that would have given them an actual seat inside the venue.

The Oilers also sold out a viewing party inside their arena for a road playoff game in 30 minutes. The Senators could not sell out a home playoff game with about 72 hours? notice.

While they?ve caught playoff fever in Edmonton, it appears as though the fans in Ottawa are suffering through a condition known as Senators malaise.

Brutal situation in Ottawa. How you can't sell out a second round home playoff game is ridiculous.

What's equally ridiculous is the Pegulas in Buffalo. Denied permission to speak to Coyotes' GM John Chayka on Wednesday. Denied permission to speak to Rangers' AGM Chris Drury. Plenty of solid options out there but you opt to try poaching...? The Sabres are a dumpster fire right now.
