He's probably going to get traded, and Buffalo will have to eat a chunk of his salary.  Unless he's cut outright for morals / conduct breech of contract.  Either way, he goes from being an asset to being either nothing or a liability.

I think he's very close to being out of the league. I could see him in the KHL in the next couple years. Apparently they pay you with bags of money there? He'd like that!

I use to like Kane..... But hes become a complete idiot and glad hes gone.

at this point I'm sure buffalo wants Kane gone....he contributes very little on ice, and is nothing but a distraction off the ice..ive said it for years..Kane loves Kane..he is the Donald Trump of the NHL

When he was here, he had his flashes but was never consistent enough. For the first 2-3 years it was always "we need a good centre for Kane". In the end he couldn't fit on a line with Scheifele and Wheeler, a line that would make any player with untapped potential look good

If Armia and Lemieux blossom into bonfide front line players or better than it has to go down as one of the most brilliantly and well timed trades in NHL history.
