My point there was there are a few people on here that look at the riders as an easy win this year. I personally do not see it that way, but hey really what do I know about the CFL...LOL

True I will not argue that, I think it is more of a leadership roll, and a safety net with someone who can return the ball.

Pretty weak point considering I'm not one of those people. I was actually curious regarding the mostly positive reaction I've seen regarding the Owens' signing...

Leave it a greenie to get defensive for no reason, though. Undecided

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed international running back Cameron Marshall, who played with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2015.

Interesting. Marshall was a decent back. He was more of a bruiser who had just enough speed to do some damage. Not sure if he's gotten any faster or slimmer since he was here last. Never really thought he was that good and was surprised he got a look in Seattle. After bouncing around a bit he's back with the Riders. Hasn't played much football since he was a Bomber. Interested to see how he looks this year.

I always liked him. Thought he was under utilized while here. Could make the first guy miss with a cut and then run the second guy over.

Owens is more fragile every year.  Overpriced aging talent, but still super talented.  I wonder if the Riders really needed him with all their young receiving talent.

That is why they need him, they need him to mentor and teach these young receivers.

Rob Bagg isn't a veteran who can mentor them...? Huh

Roosevelt and Edwards aren't exactly kids, either.

Regina needs a punt and kick returner and I believe this is what Owens will primarily do.  He can also be used as a back up receiver if someone goes down to in jury.

I really hope he is, as I mentioned earlier. He's usually good for a fumble or 2 and if that can happen during the return after the opposing team scores. I would really really like that!

Owens is totally over rated , over the hill and over paid. Jones is out of his mind on this one.

Owens may be getting older, but he still had 800 yards receiving and 5 TD's, so is still dangerous.

That was all before he broke his foot, though.
