Strev's numbers are harder to figure out because he's started some games and has other rushes mixed in, but on games where he was purely used as SY, he has 10 attempts with a 1.2 yard average. He's only missed twice, but it's so close it feels like we're dependent on a good spot. He is simply not as effective in this role at this point.

Also, Wilson May break one for a long gain. Streveller can't anymore. That dirty hit really affected him it seems.

Found it.  1Q0:00 last play was a MTL KO return.  Weitz does a great form tackle stop on the returner.  Ayers and Weitz got their mitts on the guy at the same time.  Maybe Weitz a hair sooner.  Weitz is in front stopping him, Ayers from behind.

Ayers finally brings him down and Weitz lets go.  But I think it's the hit/stop Weitz did that did it.  Ayers may have let him slip out if Weitz isn't stopping momentum.

I'm surprised there isn't a half-tackle credit or something for this.

I don't think anyone really cares outside of you & I, Mike Miller, and maybe Junkie!

Oh ya, I forgot the 2 games where Strev started and the quarters when he came in for relief... Those did have Wilson sneaking.

When was the other time Strev failed?  I remember only 1, and TSN did say he was perfect right before he whiffed the other day.

Again, if you don't get 1st on 2nd & 3, but still get a yard, that's not a failure in my books.

I should keep better written track of this stuff... every season these "how many whiffs" argument comes up!  The problem is "define whiffs".

Vaval allowed only a 20% (1/5) completion percentage and a QB efficiency of 24.2 last week, according to PFF. Too small a sample size to make much of by itself (especially against a 4th string QB), but interesting.

Vaval has been good on the boundary which makes sense because it's the most similar to corner play down south. Speed also makes the biggest there. From game one you could tell it just kind of clicked.

I wonder if Houston could play the field. I don't think he's done it but if he could excel there that's the best case scenario.
