ST-only seats?

I was talking to the season ticket people and learned there are some seats that are ST-only seats?  I tried to buy some extras for just the PS game and was told I couldn't.  I said, were they sold?  Nope, they are reserved for ST only.

I was like, will they be made available like near/on game day, and they were like, nope!

I was like, oh, that's new to me!  I've bought these seats in the past on a game-by-game basis.

So I bit the bullet and bought a 3rd ST so I can get one of the seats, though it will now be a challenge to fill that seat when things get cold.

My question is: has anyone ever seen something like this?  They'll hold a seat all season long even if it never sells as a ST, and just keep it empty?  Do they then use that unsold seat to sell another standing-room ticket or something?  What's the rationale here?

And I'm not talking row-1 seats here, or even "prime" seats.  It's a way-up area (lots of STHs, but not all).

Sorry, but does it really matter? There are a,ways lots of empty seats.

Ya, but it'll mostly be my very young daughter sitting there, and if for some reason the main seat I want was sold/taken, I'd be royally screwed.  I'm in an area that is basically all STH, so there's nothing around, like just 1 row up for example.

I could have risked it by buying a ticket anywhere else, but losing the gamble would have been disaster.

All good.  It'll probably be for the better I have 3 tix now.  Better for WFC anyhow  :D  :D  Not better for my wallet  :P  :P

Hey, I've always wondered what one can do as a small business owner to make these tickets tax deductions.  I'm pretty sure some forum guys I've met at games are doing this, but I've never asked.

I'm thinking it would work like some/many things do: if I'm taking a client/vendor to each game then it's a valid deduction?

Ya, this should be on a CRA/tax forum, but here we are...
