I'm not quite sure why we didn't re-sign Houston, so we're going to see 2 new CB's this year. Maybe Bonds will be healthy but that's a real iffy thought at the moment.

I dont mind seeing some of the new faces coming to camp battling for open positions.

How boring would training camp be if all the starting positions were pre-determined. We all know the Bombers normally dont cut veteran players after training camp.

Apparently once we signed Moxey, we were out on Houston, so he moved on.

I don't know if that is 2+2=4. Like I mentioned we don't know what the plan is for the 2nd CB. We also didn't know until today that we'd get Moxey. We could have still lost Houston anyway. We're talking hours here. I think the decision was made to not bring Houston back before today, but that's just an opinion on my part.
One game at a time.

Just relaying what I read from one of the Winnipeg reporters.

I think Taylor Allen from the free press is the one that suggested that was the case.

I have no opinion on Moxey but have never been that impressed with any Tiger Cats DB's.  It could be he's more of a leader than Houston was, don't know.

Hearing a new agreement in principle for veteran DB Demerio Houston. The 29-year-old American has a deal with Ottawa after B.C. withdrew its earlier offer. Houston was in five games last year with Winnipeg but has 14 career picks in 50 contests with Winnipeg and Calgary.

Only if offer is registered. Appears that one hadn't been yet

The agreement to terms between the @REDBLACKS and returner James Letcher is no-more. A hazard of the communication window is where deals are agreed-upon but not always immediately put on paper. He remains a free agent. #CFL

I think moving on from him is a good move. We gotta be able to develop some new talent at that position to save costs. Ceressna also will play a bunch of DE. I think we run with 3 DE and Canadian DT on passing downs anyway.

Brissett to the Stamps

Dejon Brissett has reached a deal to join the Calgary Stampeders, TSN's Farhan Lalji reports.

The 29-year-old wide receiver is coming off the best season of his career, posting 65 catches for 907 yards and three touchdowns with the Toronto Argonauts last season.
