I'd rapidly make my favorite whoever is NOT on Ento's side.  And eliminate Dequoy by leaving both sides of the field open and doing a lot of corners / wide outs.  There have been games this year where Dequoy wasn't in the picture at all (yes ones where he was starting)... figure out what those teams did and duplicate it.

If after the '23 GC we haven't solved the Ento problem, I'll be quite annoyed.

Quote from: Throw Long Bannatyne on Today at 12:39:12 AMZach has to make use of every receiver, (which he rarely does), laying it all at Pokey's feet is bound to fail. Wheatfall, Sterns, Clercius, Cobb and Brady are all capable of contributing if Zach can get them the ball on time, in space.  He has to throw passes like he trusts every receiver and not get behind and slip into desperation mode.

This is just false. He spreads the ball around as much as anyone. Rourke and Bo hyper target their #1s, but we don't really have a guy like that on our roster.

Not as much as 2021 Zach.  It used to be impossible to pick a Bomber REC in fantasy because everyone would get 50Y instead of one guy getting 125Y.  Sure, he'd still pick a favorite each game, but it would never be predetermined and would rotate, and the fave would still almost never get huge yardage.

For example, Bailey & Woli used to get waaaaaaay more targets than Mitchell & Clercius.  Nowadays you can basically bet the farm the 4th & 5th reads won't get more than 2-3 targets.

Quote from: Tecno on October 30, 2025, 10:36:50 PMThat's awesome.  But how many times a season are 4 East games in one weekend?  Or did you mean over 2 weekends?

One weekend, but I don't think it happens too often. Actually could ALMOST have tried it in week 11 this year but Ham and MTL were on the same day. Had one been on the Sunday, could have done it.  Was fun though.  Gave me a love for the train..I wish the passenger trains came here and went all across Canada now. I'd totally use them.

Zach regularly starves receivers, he will go entire games without throwing the ball at Wheatfall, Corcoran, Mitchell or Clercius for whatever reason. The passing attack used to be much more balanced and has gotten away from that over the last 2 seasons.

Considering how little time Collaros gets in the pocket, it shouldn't be too surprising that he struggles to spread the ball around more than previous seasons. This offense has declined significantly.

It also doesn't help when you lose veterans like Demski and Schoen.

I think its more an issue that he hasn't found a go to receiver other than Demski that he trusts when he's pressured, or the receivers we have aren't great at adjusting their routes when needed.

Demski as our top threat gets 5.75 targets a game.

Clercius as the last option gets 3.1 targets a game.

How many times do you want him to look at the lesser options as a first read?

Pffft.  Get out of here, dude.  Facts and statistics have no place in this conversation.  You know better.

Fact is the passing attack sucked for most of this season and Zach is usually mad at a receiver or two.  Whatever they're doing, hasn't worked well.
