Title: Winnipeg Jets Top 10 Prospects
Post by: jets4life on August 25, 2017, 06:09:12 PM
Here are my top 10 Jets prospects.

1. Kyle Connor (going to be a top six forward, and possible Calder Trophy candidate)
2. Jack Roslovic (eventual top six forward)
3. Kristian Vesalainen (first round 17')
4. Sami Niku (exceeded expectations, will be a top Moose D-man)
5. Dylan Samberg (have a great feeling about Samberg, NCAA for 17-18)
6. Tucker Poolman (24 and will likely be bottom pairing D-man)
7. Michael Spacek (WHL scoring machine, will give Moose offensive depth)
8. Jansen Harkins (more Moose offensive depth)
9. Logan Stanley (should never have gone in the first round, but may turn into bottom pairing NHL D-man eventually)
10. Jonathan Kovacevic (NCAA D-man.  Will turn pro in a couple of years

Hey dude,

Welcome to the forum! Lots of Jets fans on this board, so you've come to the right place...sort of, because you will notice there is a sticky (bolded) topic that includes everything Jets. Perhaps you can add your threads into that and we can all discuss there?

Thanks!

PS: You're overvaluing Connor and especially Roslovic IMO. Connor might be top 6, but IIRC he lost his chance at the Calder by losing his spot with the big club last year. This year I think he will probably play a third line role.

As well, a new 2017/2018 Jets thread will be started when NHL training camps begin.

He's still eligible. He had to have played in 26 in one season, or 7 in multiple seasons.

Did not know that, thanks! I thought the window was much smaller than 26 games, and certainly didn't think that would go beyond 2 years. Good to know.

It's called the "Makarov" rule I believe :)
