Title: Official Game Day Thread - Winnipeg @ Edmonton, August 21, 2026

Bombers have a fairly tough schedule over the next few weeks meeting Edmonton, Montreal, Saskatchewan twice and Montreal before the end of September.

It's pretty crucial all facets of the team need to bring their A game in each match up.

Health wise, Oliviera, Demski, Eli and Daniels are questionable with Ball likely out for the Edmonton game.

Keys for the game - Everyone comes prepared, game-ready to play and with 100% attitude and execution.

Ed Tait's 48 Hour Primer - Entering the Gauntlet (https://www.bluebombers.com/2026/08/19/48-hour-primer-entering-the-gauntlet/) covers his pre-game observations.

First up - Edmonton, playing at home, who will be motivated to maintain first place in the west.

A big up-coming weekend with lots on the line!  Go Bombers Go!

A) the Bombers are not playing consistent football and there's plenty of room for improvement, or
B) we are seeing the best of this year's version of the team and they are just not that good

I hope it's (A) or we're in for a run of loses and a playoff exit  when these five games are done.  I'm not optimistic, I feel this is an aging poorly coached team this season. I see five loses on the horizon (I hope I'm wrong).

Game 2 of 3 against the Elks. We need to win in order to have any chance of winning the season series. Elks are a very good team but I see the chance of beating them greater than beating the Als next week.
